I've admitted that I don't care much for the past of boxing because it has nothing to do with here and now.

All time great list are pointless.

Duran is an ATG Lightweight, lost in a lot of his big fights above that weight.

I remember him for putting up a good fight against Hagler. Getting KOed by Hearns. And quiting against Leonard.

Why don't you tell us. Since you seem to know so much about JMM's weight.

What was his natural weight in ring when fighting at 126? Or 130? Think of that, then think about how ridiculous it will sound considering you are talking about NATURAL....

Obviously not Cus. :patsch Do you think asking a stupid question like that makes you smarter or moves this forward?

I don't know what he weighed before at those weights. It doesn't matter. It's about here and now.

Because if we started using past weights I would bet my money that Marquez and Floyd were nearly identical at the lower weights.

There's walk around weight and fight night weight.

When someone ask what a fighters natural weight class is, usually someone is referring to what they can cut down to.

When someone ask there natural weight it could mean either their fight night weight or their walk around weight.

I'm glad Floyd is back and glad for JMM to get the biggest fight. They are both great, great fighters. JMM has looked really good since he moved up. It's going to be a great fight. This will determine who's the real #1 no matter what happens tonight!

Am I the only one that thought "a smaller man will never retire" comment was a jab at Oscar? lol

I think that Floyd and Marquez were naturally around the same size at a point. But Mayweather has more muscle now.

I don't really see why size is an issue, Floyd will outweigh Marquez by significantly less than what Cotto would outweigh Floyd, for example and that appears not to be much of an issue.

possibly. kind of like "boxing is not about proving who the best is" was a jab at fighters with balls.

Althouth Floyd has been involved in some classic performances he does not have the style to be involved in a "fight of the year" .
