Number one p4p combination puncher of the millennium so far?

2024 is going to be a huge year for Japanese boxing. Inoue, Ioka and Kenshiro will continue adding to their run/career legacy, Tanaka will win a world title in his 4th weight class, Nakatani will continue his own ascent, and there's a very good chance crossover blueship prospect Tenshin Nasukawa will jump to contender status by the end of the year.

 

With the casuals anyways, whereas the hardcore fans of boxing(Asian boxing in particular) will also remember an 18 year Tenshin destroying Amnat Ruenroeng with his hands in a kickboxing match 7 years ago.

He was ready to make the jump to the pro ranks even back then...... and would have been spared the humiliating squash freakshow with Mayweather had he done so, while also possibly having already carved out a noteworthy career. Still... relatively young at 25 so that's not out of the question for him.

 

It's tragic mate , I'm currently working 6 days a week and got a 3 year old and a 4 day old running me ragged...I don't get to watch half as much boxing as I used to...think last live Japanese fight I watched was Tanaka vs ioka lol

You must consider boxers getting KTFO on the last punch of their 13 punch combo out of the running. That is, aesthetics are not enough and some success is necessary.

There are some good names to include in the list such as JMM, his brother Rafael, Loma, Chocolatito, Inoue, Bud Crawford and Benavidez. But to me, we are talking about boxers who are changing at each punch based on what they are seeing in front of them, and that has to be Loma and JMM.

 

Chocolatito is probably up there too.

My first thought upon reading the thread title was JMM though, and looking at the other comments, that seems to be the consensus…..and for good reason!

Ironically, Canelo was on his way to this - but at some point turned into a one punch at a time guy and all but abandoned the dazzling combinations he’d throw when he was younger.
