Michael Nunn at his middle weight best ,taking out Kalambay in 1 Against Rodigo Valdez who stopped Briscoe ?? 15 round s
Nunn was at his best against Tate, not Kalambay. I'd take Nunn by decision. The styles favor him. Valdez was murder against guys who stood in front of him, or came at him, but Nunn wouldn't do either. Of course Valdez has a puncher's chance, but the smart money is on Nunn.
He certainly looked the part against Kalambay but I see your point. Nunn would Best served here by being very mobile. There were times he planted his feet and duked it out but Valdez would love that. And Nunn could well find himself in deep waters doing that. But if he gets moving , lashing out his jab ,then he busts up Valdez s face a little and earns himself a wide points win .
Valdez exact height as Hagler. Hagler routinely destroyed taller fighters. If Valdez could knockdown the taller Monzon ( only knocked down twice as pro ) then so he could he Nunn. Valdez stalks Nunn like Toney did and ko him late.
