I'm no expert so il just give you my thoughts and u can do whatever But id advise doing all your strength things together instead of bit by bit. I see that you have 5 meals in a day instead of doing a workout after each meal try something like Breakfast Hiit meal meal strength meal meal You have same amount of meals but you allow your body more time and food (energy) to recover from the hiit before your next workout.
Thanks!:good Point taken about the meals but why do you advise to do the strength together? The hiit is so nervous-energy-demanding that I can barely do the third set on the strength... (what am I doing wrong?):good
Two reasons First being that your doing hiit then eating then doing a strength workout then eating then another workout etc. This means that the food (energy) is being used for both recovery and energy for your next workout which is probably why you find it hard. I think that having more meals after hiit and before your workout will allow you to recover and have enough energy for your work out. Secondly the work outs your doing 3 sets 10 reps of...........(w.e workout) isnt really taxing so theres no reason why you shouldnt do 3 diff work outs of 3 sets each as one. Thats only 9 reps. But again im no expert im only speaking from previous experience and trust me i have gotten it wrong A LOT.
everything sorry had to throw that in there as the poster above said HIIT 4 to 5 times a week is too much, if your struggling to finish a set its partly down to your energy or diet, as i said you were low on calories by the looks of it unless your a 50 kilo 14 year old, you are severely low on protein as said btw when you train for strenght go for 5 reps not 10 as that is hypertrophy training (training to increase mass), you said you didnt want this if i was you id sort your diet out first work out your calorie needs and go from there, improve your diet by making it balanced, yours is far from balanced at the moment, use variety and then look at your training routine and completely change it because you wont get results with what your doing, use variety in your training too

Thanks, mate. In the end calories in/out has to be king and account for 75% of the whole story, at least. But for calories in/out to remain consistent, you can't go on an eating bender or have so little energy to train hard enough. And this is where I think eating the right things makes a difference. If you don't have energy to train, you can't train well. If you don't eat the right thing to recuperate well, you don't recuperate well. This is why I think there's a difference between eating a crap diet of 2000 calories six days a week a great diet of 2000 calories six days a week. And then, there's not just percentages of fats, protein and carbs that make up the 2000 but also when you eat what and in what combinations. If you eat all your great diet meals in one go just before going to bed, that's the right number of calories, a great, very healthy, balanced diet, but you're still eating like an idiot. I am hoping therefore to hear from people with expertise...:good
Yeah, I suck at preparing meals, counting calories, and I quickly get tired of the eating the same types of food over and over. Luckily I found a place near my house that has a chef who will prepare food that you store in the refrigerator for a maximum of 4 days. All of the meals are carefully planned, the calories & nutrition information are clearly printed on each container, and the ingredients are fresh (mostly organic). Their meals will often conform to specific diet plans: Paleo, gluten free, vegetarian, etc. As a result, I don't have to worry about a lot of those things (ie combinations). I don't think there's been any proof that eating right before bed is all that bad for you. If there is, I'd like to see it.
I mean: eating all your 2000 calories (balanced diet, perfect ratio of fats/protein/carbs/greens/water) in one sitting just before going to bed is crazy. So when you eat what and in what order out of this perfect diet, through the day, must be important.
Finally someone who delivered. :happy Great work, Pork Chop. Exactly the kind of sources of information I was looking for. Thanks a bunch, mate!:good
