    Hello folks,

New poster here -- I was checking out these forums a bit. A lot of interesting stuff on here. I'm a huge fan of boxing, and I've done some training, but I'm not going to claim I'm anything close to a boxer. Trust me, I'm far from it, and I can tell a lot of you are very serious about this and it would be an insult for me to call myself a boxer.

That being said, I came to these forums looking for some recommendations on a good diet along with a good training regimen, because in my opinion, boxers are the most well-conditioned athletes around. Here is some background as well as my personal goals:

I'm 22 years old. I'm about 6'1", 190 pounds. I work a full-time 9-5 at an office M-F, which is frustrating for me. I'm always tired when I get home and this makes training more difficult. I don't do anything physically draining at work, but sitting at a desk all day really shuts your brain off after a while. I've been doing well with strength training, but that's not my only goal. I'd really like to cut down to about 180 pounds, lower my body fat, and become more well-defined, but continue to maintain my strength as well.

I'm looking for some good recommendations in terms of a training regimen. What workouts do you think would be helpful? I'm open to any suggestions you have from cardio, to weights etc.

Furthermore, I'm looking for some good recommendations in diet and supplementation. Which supplements would you recommend? Opinions on cycling certain supplements? Also -- based on my goals, what would you recommend for a total caloric intake per day? How about protein intake per day etc.?

I'm sure you guys see a lot of posts like this, and maybe there's a thread you direct people to. Anyways, any help you can provide to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

I figured there was probably some complete guide that has been posted before. Thanks for the quick response -- much appreciated.

I use it at the gym. The coaches even use the information. People have even asked to translate it to spanish.

Great to hear. I'm going to print it out right now and bring it to the gym with me today. I think I'll stick around these forums. Very interesting/informative from what I've read so far.
