I am going to my first big fight ever next week and leaving the maple coated homeland of Canada to NYC. I have GGG to win in 4 rounds, but I feel so damn unpatriotic not backing my home country....Should I throw 50 down on Lemieux? What are the odds at right now? Will the Americans in the crowd be ****ed if I bring a Canadian flag to hold while the anthem is being sung? Also, anyone want to recommend any must see's/do's in NYC? (I already know about Jimmy's corner)

    It's my first time too!

I have a question and it may sound weird, but what should I wear to the fight? For Grizz NBA games, it usually works like if you're sitting in nosebleed you wear t-shirts supporting your team and dress down. If you're in the plaza (lower bowl) you dress nicely.

So for the fight, I'm in the lower bowl. Could I dress up nice and wear a dress? I'm not really sure and I don't want to look out of place.

Guys, I have been to many fights at the MSG, trust me. Bring your flags all the shxt you want to show your support for your fighter. If your seats are in the upper levels and you have the chance to sneak into one of those balcony sections up there, please do. Its fu cking awesome, we did it for the Cotto vs Martinez fight and we had the whole balcony to ourselves. It feels like you are on top of the ring too. Dress comfortable you are not going to a dance *****es haha. Jeans and nice shirt.....No need for a suit. ha!

As far as what to do in NYC, fu ck guys, go with the flow. There is all of sorts of things you can do in the city....Have fun and be safe....

Ohh and dont get too drunk and start shxt because dudes in NYC dont play, you will get stomped quick....

Also, what are my chances of running into a well-known fighter/celeb at Madison Square Garden and what could I do to maximize my chances?

At MSG on fight night, you are bound to run to almost anyone thru the hallways....Just be on the lookout.

Get a hotel in Newark, it is half the price and so long as you don't get stabbed it isn't that bad. Also do most of your drinking before the fight. Security wasn't all that tight for th e klitschko fight so my cousin snuck in a bunch of jack in a coke cup (worth a try). Majority of fans at msg that I have seen are proudly supporting foreign fighters so go nuts man.
