you never know, it always takes one to start a trend...now we will see if greed wins out and others refuse to follow suit, and shut NY out, or use them as an example

I will laugh out loud if we suddenly hear Pac is retiring. I'm pretty sure he'll insist that he plans to pursue his "political endeavors." I won't lose sleep. It'll be nice to see someone else in the spotlight for a change. That said, I have my doubts though. I tend to think Pac really has no problem with blood tests, it's just an excuse to buy more time to get himself solidified in the 147 lb division. You have to consider prior to negotiating with Floyd, Pac had never really fought a natural 147 lb guy. DLH and Cotto were both catchweight fights, not to mention damaged goods. You could even make an argument that Clottey is more of a middleweight.

When people accuse Floyd of bullying they NEVER mention the demands that came from Team Pac's side. You are no different. If you ask something from me, and I agree to provide it, isn't it only fitting that I ask for something in return?? Isn't that how business works? I wish people would understand that it is a form of negotiation, not a way to boss Pac around. If you think asking for a few extra blood tests is outrageous I can easily say charging Floyd $10 million per lb over the limit is just as ridiculous. What if you suddenly find out that you are being charged $10,000 for every increment over the speed limit? Wouldn't you throw a fit? Yes you would. Exactly.

There are a many problems with your argument on this issue. Beside the fact everyone in their right mind knows damn well that Floyd Mayweather WOULD NEVER COME INTO THE FIGHT OVER 147 LBS OR STRUGGLE TO MAKE THAT WEIGHT, SO THIS A NON-ISSUE.... Pac's demands were based on FACTS. Floyd came into his last fight over the scheduled limit against a smaller fighter, using it to his advantage. Pac wanted to make sure that Floyd didn't do the same thing to him that Floyd did to JMM. So... Pac's demands were based on the FACT that Floyd failed to meet his last weight obligation. Floyd on the other hand, has NO GROUNDS to insult Pac and then place his irrational demands onto him. Not only this, but Pac even bent over backwards to agree to more drug testing that has ever been done before. Much more testing than would be needed. Anyone using PED's wouldn't agree to 3 blood tests, **** tests everyday, as well as hair samples, all within a 60 day period. If Pac had something to hide... he sure as hell wouldn't have agreed to all of that.

Anyone in their right mind knows that Floyd Mayweather never in his wildest dreams actually believes that Pac would come up dirty. If he did, he would never bother with the fight or the demands in the first place because he would have wasted his time and money training for nothing. In reality, it was nothing more than a stroke of his ego to try and bully Pac around. He knew that if he pushed and pushed, Pac would eventually get tired of his **** and move on to the next fight... in which case Floyd can then turn around and act like Pac backed out of the fight, and try to save face.

In reality... Floyd only proved that he isn't man enough to get into the ring and fight Pac just like everyone else has... and just like Floyd himself has fought every other opponent in his career. Floyd tried to bully Pac and create a mental edge for himself... when Pac wouldn't let him gain that mental edge, Floyd made sure that he created demands that Pac would never agree to.

To sit here and act like Pac needed to subject himself to even more testing than the outrageous amount that he already went above and beyond to agree to... all based on nothing more than Floyd and his dad's insulting comments is absolutely ridiculous. I mean... you do realize that all of his "steroid" bull**** is nothing more than bull**** that came out of Floyd Jr. and Sr.'s mouths right? You do realize that there was NO STEROID controversy before enough sheep bought into the Mayweather **** talking sessions, right? So... you are saying that no only should Pac have taken the accusation slap across the face, and then allowed the backhand to come back across the other side of his face by agreeing to the 3 blood tests, **** tests, and hair samples... but that he should have also took yet another slap in the face as that wasn't good enough for Floyd?

In my opinion, Pac should have told Floyd to **** off immediately after the first insult and demand. The fact that Pac stuck it out and agreed to so much more than he needed to just proves how much he wanted the fight. The fact that Pac agreeing to more drug testing that has ever been asked of any fighter in history still wasn't enough for Floyd just proves how much Floyd did NOT want this fight.

Did Floyd agree to the $10M per lbs over during the negotiations?

I only hear him saying he agreed to it after the talks fell apart to make it appear that he really wanted the fight.

I think if they somehow agreed to a certain days cut off for blood testing, that Floyd would have insisted in the reduction of the $10M.

10 million dollars penalty has a reason, to make sure floyd won't do what he did against Marquez, a FACT that everyone knows. What about the Blood test? does it have a valid reason? Pac made a big mistake on trying to negotiate to try salvage the fight, it's almost like bowing down to PBF when he agreed to the test with limitation, but Floyd cannot be satisfied, he still wanted Pac to kiss his feet for him to take the fight! What does he think of himself, a KING?

Pac should have told PBF to- f--- off, come back and fight me when you're not afraid anymore. FEAR will keep him away from Pac, he's already satisfied in fighting and defeating him outside the ring, through lies and insults.

it'll be interesting to see if floyd would fight out of las vegas to try and implement these rules. i'm not sure financially it would make sense to do that. we'll have to see if floyd would agree to fight in new york, and if he does, then it'll be interesting to see if pacquiao accepts. i don't think either will, especially pacquiao.

I'm not disputing the act of penalizing Floyd for exceeding the weight limit. Charging him a few grand is reasonable. But c'mon...ten ****in million dollars? That just has "We hope Floyd thinks it's so outrageous that he'll cancel the fight" written all over it! You want to talk about facts? Ok, let's start with the fact that Shane Mosley admitted to using PEDs and was never caught due to the very flawed system. How about the fact that high profile athletes such as McGwire, Bonds, and Sosa have juiced at one point or another? These men were considered posterboys, typical family oriented men. Another fact - Manny Pacquiao makes his own Filipino brethren submit a urine test for a weight loss contest. This tells me he doesn't completely trust his own people. That said, why should Floyd trust the standard drug test procedure?? So when Floyd shows the same skepticism that Manny has shown, he's automatically a criminal? Wow. Unbelievable.

I'm sure you want to know why Floyd is all of a sudden testing Pac. Well, can you think of a "perfect time" to do so? A change has to be made at some point in order to correct a flawed system. Why not NOW? It's just as good as any time. There is no double standard against Pac because Shane is undergoing the tests as well as future opponents for Floyd.

I really have a problem with the phrase, "push and push." As far as I know Floyd made one request, which was to have Pac submit to random blood tests leading up to the day before the fight. Team Pac, from my understanding, threw a wild **** storm because for some very odd reason a few blood tests during Pac's training stint is way out of the question. They agreed to a 24 day window. Floyd, still reluctant to budge, stretched it out to 14 days. At that point Arum and co. lost it like a group of drama queens. Perhaps if they had been more patient, both sides could agree to 19 days. But nobody in their right mind thinks Manny needs MORE than 14 days to recover from one simple damn blood test!

Stop defending Pacquiao like he's a 6 yr old handicapped child who's being picked on by a gang of bullies. We're talking about a man who is arguably the best fighter on the planet. If he can't find a way to get over his mental breakdown over a few blood tests, he really shouldn't be involved in the brutal sport of Boxing. Either that or he is seriously insulting our intelligence!

Let me ask you this question - Do you really believe Pac does not know what a steroid is? Seriously. The guy has been a pro boxer since the age of 16 which means he's been in the game for over 15 yrs and not once has he heard of a steroid? He's been boxing in America for almost a decade and not once has heard of a drug that enhances a fighter's abilities? Back in his early pro days he was involved in a handful of fights in Thailand - a country known for a wide distribution of steroids. Now you tell me - do you feel confident that he's telling the truth? If so, I'm sorry, but I won't be able to hold back from laughter.

What I find ridiculous is overreacting over a few blood tests. If Floyd had demanded 100 tests per day, sure, I can agree something like that would be out of the question. From my knowledge the amount of tests Pac would have to take is 3-7 within a month which to me is very reasonable. Don't act like it isn't. I could fly an airplane while having my blood drawn. It is not difficult, especially for a pro boxer. Pac rejecting a few blood tests equates to someone telling you he/she refuses to go to work due to a headache. That person is telling you he/she can't handle the "pain" like the average person can, and begs for sympathy. Complete bull****!

If I KNOW I'm clean I'd feel like I'm in the driver's seat. Why get overly emotional over it? If you accused me of being a drug user, I'd laugh in your face because I know I'd be able to prove you wrong. Hell, I'd have fun with the situation. Why not place a bet? Say if my tests come out negative - would you clean my toilet with your tongue everyday for an entire year? You see where I'm going with this? Of course if I'm guilty of using drugs then I'm going to be agitated - a sign that's apparent in Pac's camp. Hmm. Interesting.

How did Pac deal with the situation? Like a moronic, butt-hurt child who made himself look like a suspect. End of story.

So you're saying Pac's camp is afraid of fighting Floyd coming in at 148 that they'd charge him $10 million? Manny isn't confident enough to beat Floyd wearing 10 oz gloves? Wow, and you guys call Floyd a coward. Interesting indeed. If they didn't want any "rules" to be established, they shouldn't have dropped their stipulation on Floyd's lap. Simple as that. If Manny has a right to be 100% focused on his training then Floyd has a right to feel highly confident that he's getting a clean fight. Why should he trust the standard system? It clearly shows deficiencies.

If you want to mention the word "fear," let's not forget that Pac fears he cannot beat Floyd if he takes random blood tests while he's training. It works both ways. If someone pissed me off that much, hell, I'd fight him with one arm. Pac would not do this. Instead he chooses to waste his time and money in court. Smart.

    Good.
And now the other commissions should follow their lead starting with Las Vegas and Texas.

Stop the never ending debate on the testing issue. Those who you are debating with will not be swayed as they have already made up their mind. Most people especially those that matters all know how things truly stand anyway.

Somebody should start a *******s vs *****s only thread no holds barred. So there will be no reason to clutter discussions on other threads.
