June 19th. QLD NZ Commonwealth Quarterfinalist Reece Papuni (9-0) takes on Trent Broadhurst (14-1) for vacant WBA Oceanic Light Heavyweight title. Should be a poignant fight for both. Broadhurst expecting top 15 WBA ranking if successful. Also mentioned Robert Berridge avoided a rematch.
July 11th. Hamilton. Kiwi Anthony Taylor (10-1) vs Aussie Andrew Wallace (10-5) for Prestigious WBU super lightweight title. (German version of course) Taylor had a good dust up with Aussie prospect Brandon Ogilvie a few yrs back, who himself fights for WBA Oceanic lightweight tilte in the not too distant future.
Gunnar Jackson vs Kerry hope on Broadhurst undercard. Michael Zerafa withdrew recently, to the disdain of Hope's team. Hope (21-7, 2 KOs) will now face WBO #12 world rated Kiwi Gunnar Jackson (21-5-3, 8 KOs) continuing the trans tasman themed evening
27th June Former Super Middleweight Youth Champ , Zac Dunn (16-0-0 ,14 KO) takes on Ukraine's Max Bursak for the vacant IBO World Super Middleweight belt. Should be a *******. Dunn touted as a top talent, has a win over top 100 fighter Beibi Berrocal, where Bursak has been in with the likes of Martin Murray, Fletcher and N'Jikam - losing to all convincingly. Although he surprisingly holds a win over Brian Vera.
Joseph Parker vs Kyotaro Aug 1 Invercargill. Jeff Horn on Under card vs TBA. Should be entertaining, even if for a few rounds. Kyotaro won't lay down too easily do could provide some entertaining exchanges.
All the best to the Kiwi lads. Reece has it in the bag though :hey:good Well, I hope... I was training from the same gym for a few years. Heavy hitting guy for his size. It should be a war between the 2 of them :bbb Good to see he wanted to fight the guy that Berridge didn't... I see either of them beating Berridge at this stage of his career.

Tbh honest I think the butcher beats both. He's not a world level fighter but he's pretty decent at domestic level. He killed broadhurst the first time and he'd do it again. Wouldn't mind Reece doing well though add Nic the greek and even Rapira + the butcher and theres a few decent s****s available. My money would be on nic the greek even if he is a bit of a beer bottle. I love the way him and the butcher s****. I haven't seen enough of Reece to rate him.
