Still only the 4 names announced for this. Surprising when you consider the rather sizable payday involved.

I've been told, the organiser's, will announce the final 4 contestants, either later this week, or very early next week.

I am told there will be some good names included, should be a good event

I guarantee Tua is confirmed, they're just delaying the announcement!

If Tua is in as you say, that leaves 2 spots to fill.

    Hasim Rahman

    Samuel Peter

    Kali Meehan

    Michael Sprott

    Martin Rogan

    David Tua??

    Audley Harrison anyone ???

Apparently there's a post by the organisers to ''stay tuned for the kiwi wildcards'' - So maybe one more international headliner and two local guys.

Shane Cameron? Tatupu? Welliver :dead? Ritani Coe?

I guess Browne was interested then probably was persuaded by his promoters that it wouldn't be an expedient 'business' move.

As for the last big International name - Shannon Briggs, Chagaev, Johnson, Michael grant????

would suit tua knowing its only 3 rounds and he can go hard out... welliver wouldnt make it out of the first round. Ritani Coe? a few kiwis keep mentioning his name but he hasnt fought all that much and lost to joseph parker... what chance would he have beating some of the names on the list? never seen him fight but did see forrest griffin back him for a spot

Cameron would be a real possibility. It would be just his luck to draw Tua and get KOed again.

This format wouldn't suit Welliver and he looks shot anyway going by his recent results.

Peter hasn't fought for three years, hasn't won a fight for four years and the last time he beat anyone of any note whatsoever was in 2008 when stopping Oleg Maskaev for the WBC title. As I recall Sam Peter was mostly out of shape when he was supposed to be in training so I can't imagine what three years of inactivity has done to him...

I'm still picking Sprott to win this as it looks like Browne isn't in, if Tua is in though I reckon - as others have said - the format is tailor made for him.
