well done NZ, they played well.

 

Players that i thought were Poor.

Most of the Fowards except Pedro, Slater,Thurston and Williams.

Player that should have got Man of the Match.

Blair the number 10.

 

Thurston cant keep his cool, hes always blowing off steam. If he relaxed more hed have been ok but i quess thats what pressure does.

The aussies missed Price.

But the Kiwis were without Matai, SBW, Asotasi, Webb

Benji Marshall stood up finally, his first and most important win against the Aussies. Yes he made some mistakes but he took the ball to the line was strong on D, and did let his little mistake get to him.

Blair talked a big game pre-match he stood up and walked the talk.

Cayless played on of his best games also, he doesnt posses the flair and explosiveness of Blair, Manu etc but did the grunt work.

The Kiwis out muscles the aussies, we were finally relentless and ruthless on D in the 80th minute as we were in the first 10m, normally we fade.

GREAT GAME, GREAT RESULT FOR LEAGUE.

Why we won? Becausew we were the better team? Because Aussie took poor options under pressure? Because we wanted it more? Because unlike Aussie we didnt come into the game thinking we just had to turn up?

Dont say the words Ref and bad calls. Its SPORT its happened to the Kiwis numerous times, yes there were some average calls, but it goes both ways ask the AB's after there "world Cup" Australia was supposed to be so superior that a few bad calls shouldnt have made any difference! You crumbled under the pressure, were taken to places you hadnt been before in a long time and couldnt handle it. Were out muscled, out passioned damn right out played! Get over it. THE KIWIS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS!!! I know it hurts!!

Man just watched the Haka from the game on foxs sports news.

Man at the time didnt think much but i was pissed as a fart..But what a Haka..I would like to know what Falou said to Benji whilst Benji was in his face during the Haka.

I'm not trying to dampen your feeling or anything, but you know how I feel about the national league team as I'm sure I've told you before that I go for NZ when they play each other, though I still would have avatar bet you if you wanted to .

As for the world cup as a whole, I still think it should be scrapped and replaced with the tri-series. At least then you know that any team has some chance of winning. Even though England have been dreadful this series, they are still capable of winning against both Aus and NZ on their day, whereas the 4th best team (Fiji or PNG) would never be able to.

As for waiting 8 or 10 more years for australia to call themselves world champs...I wouldnt be surprised if within 12 months the ARL make up a new rankings system and base it on results either starting then, or from the last 2 or so years :yep
