Assume the title mean to say 'least skilled champion in history'?

Even then i'd stay say no, whilst Deontay was obviously the least skilled out of Fury and Joshua, i'm sure there were less skilled champs - Valuev comes to mind immediately

Even if the question was “least skilled heavyweight champion of all time”, the answer is still obviously no, considering he outboxed the then-WBC champion Bermane Stiverne 120-108 in 2015 to become champion

And there’s no way anyone genuinely thinks guys like Charles Martin etc were better than Deontay Wilder

I’m all for Wilder criticism but threads like these are pointless.

Power in itself is not a skill. But being able to land power punches with precision is. You can criticise Wilder's opposition all you want, but there's no denying in that he in his prime was very good at landing power punches.

No, he's nowhere near the least skilled HW in history....................he's not even the least skilled HW titlist in history..............

I know that I give Wilder a lot of ****, but this is kinda silly.

Being good at landing power punches doesn’t come from athleticism. It comes from training. Drilling over and over again on technique. That is the development of a skill and honing it. His trainers are not relying on simple athleticism for that.

Or maybe HIS trainers are, whomever they might be.

He was certainly not the least skilled heavyweight in history, that's ridiculous.

However, one could argue he was the most poorly skilled WBC heavyweight titleholder in history.
