I don't have a problem with vegetarians and vegans. My problem is when they get judgmental. Because I like eating meat, does that make me a bad person? I love eating some grilled rib-eye steak with A1 sauce from time to time. Is that a crime?

No, and I didn't want to derail the thread.

So, I brought up an alternative to Oats, and Beans called Quinoa.

Here is a breakdown for it.. This information is dry, uncooked Quinoa, I would bet 1/4 cup cooked would be about as filling as oatmeal, as it cooks it expands, it cooks similarly to rice.

    Oats

You see the comparisons are virtually identical, however Quinoa can be more protein dense, has complete proteins something considered a grain. Also, if oatmeal messes up your stomach due to the gluten, Quinoa isn't a wheat, and is gluten free..

So, benefits are going to be an overall slightly healthier grain, with complete proteins. And wont upset stomach.

Cooks like rice, can spice it up with cinnamon, fruit, etc as an oatmeal subs.

As a bean substitude, you can cook it with a little stock. and herbs.

I'd take the egg any day, nutrition wise. Better amino acid profile, some fat, and more micronutrients. But why choose, you can have eggs in one meal and oats, quinoa, beans or whatever in the other. There are up to 8 meals in a day, knock yourself out.

About the creatine btw, it's not just in beef but also in the milk. Similarly you don't have to eat the chicken to get its protein either, you could just eat the egg. Unless you're a vegan, but in that case you're a ****** and probably not on this board anyway.
