Who wins and how? Carr lost to both Trinidad and De La Hoya, but was a very good fighter in his prime. Andre Berto was built as the next big thing by HBO, but the Ortiz fight may of shown those expectations to be a little lofty. Who are you picking?
Fight falls apart about 10 days before its scheduled to go down by way of the Berto camp coming up with an excuse. Seriously, Carr would probably outbox Berto. Berto has very suspect stamina and a crackable chin. DLH and Trinidad both hit like freight trains at 147. People say Berto hits hard and has good hand speed, but he's never really demonstrated anything to me that would indicate he could stop Carr the way DLH and Trinidad did. Carr's speed would give the gassing-prone Berto fits. I think Carr overcomes a shaky first couple of rounds to outwork and outbox Berto down the stretch to a UD win.
Carr was a good fighter but he didnt hit that hard. I think Berto would probably stop him late or win a decision. Both were active fighters who threw a lot of punches but Carr had a hard time hurting guys and threw very predictable combinations over and over.
dunno, it's been donkeys years since I watched Oba Carr, he was a top contender back then, would probably be a good fight, two non greats
Oba Carr decision. He matches Berto for speed and gets off first. Carr actually gave Oscar some problems.
