That was a great fight, Bramble dropped him twice in the first round with right hands and almost had him down a third time to force the stoppage. Then in the fifth, Carr caught Bramble with a huge left hook, how he stayed up I have no idea, Carr raked Bramble with flush shots for about a minute then ran out of gas. Bramble outworked him down the stretch, but lost a close decision. I thought it was a robbery too.
:huh Yeah, but he did take his prestigious "0" from his record, so he's just as responsible as anyone.....I wanted him to beat Oscar when they fought.
I said that wrong. I meant Tito didn't pull a Reid on him. Oba could not beat the elite fighters. Though, if he would have fought Campos prior to Vargas, well that would have been a shot at winning a title. Too bad.
Hardly any of you answered my question which is who do you think Carr in his his prime can beat out of todays WW crop?
Sorry, I think he would beat Berto due to his chin problems. I also believe he would outbox Quintana. A great match-up would be with Zab. Who would win??? He would lose to PBF, Cotto, Margorito, and I believe Williams.
He has a shot to beat Zab Judah, Collazo, Clottey, and Cintron Guys like Williams and Quintana cause stylistic puzzles these are 50/50 fights IMO I'd say he has little chance of Beating Cotto, and Mayweather
Prime Zab was better than Carr. Berto is also a better fighter than Carr was, Carr wouldn't knock him out.
Well the question was todays WW class which includes the Zab of today and not the one who KO Spinks and Berto now better than a prime Carr? atsch you can't be serious about that.
We all are waitng on Berto. He will possibly win a title by HBO putting him in with a less talented contender. He needs more time before we say he is a force. A prime Oba would beat him at this stage, but like I said, let's see would he evolves to in the near future.
