Ok, we all know he's proven himself to be 'legit' and is one of the top fighters in the world, but I don't think this aura of invincibility is really warranted. If you ignore his weight and muscle and glove size and just view his fights objectively, I think he's looked pretty beatable.

1/ Mir submitted. Ok, he gets a pass, he was a rookie.

2/ I think he was on his way to losing to Couture. He was looking tired and a little sheepish in the face, and was by no means dominating the wrestling aspect of the fight. This against the guy he himelf referred to as a 197lb old man, or something. The Randy of a couple of years ago, with better punch resistance, would have worn him down and stopped him imo. Remember, as great as Randy is, he has always lost to heavyweight grapplers. That KO punch was not a murderous bomb. Coutures punch resistance is gone. It remains to be seen whether all that muscle is functional (I think not) and if he can fight at a tempo for a few rds (again I think not).

3/ Herring, good performance. Good 'folkstyle' control over a savvy veteran. Didn't really look capable of finishing the fight, but proved he can fight for 3 rds, ableit at a pace he controlled.

4/ Mir II. Overrated win in my opinion, on the grounds thats Frank Mirs guard is absolutely ****. Pulling a couple of unorthodox subs from your back does not make you a good grappler. He simply cant defend himself from the guard, and his half guard is like white belt level jiu jitsu. Has been been smashed by all sorts of fighters from here, from pub landlords to pudgy jiu jitsu coaches. Nog, or Werdum, or Gonzaga, or Fedor(lol) will not be crucifixed and just go into turtle shell mode.

Again, I don't think Lesnar is a wwe joke etc, and right now I think hes overall worthy of being called the 2nd or third best heavyweight in the world, but I dont hink hes some unstappable rampaging monster. :good

The guy is a ****ing brute no matter what sport. What he achieved relatively is ****ing unbelievable.

1st fight - pulverised a ***** with hammer blows. people thought it was a quit job but now we know he's got silly short range power and very heavy hands

2nd fight - beating a ufc champ until inexperience got him subbed

3rd fight - went 3 strong rounds against a solid contender and did alot of ground and pound, with a hint of lay and pray. coming off a loss, the hype bubble didn't burst. he took the loss and it made him mad.

4th fight - ko's a legend. mixed feelings about how the fight was going but no mixed feelings about him handling the adversity of being in a tough fight, tired, 3rd round and then laying couture the **** out

5th fight - still inexperienced but ****s up a guy who has beaten him. same fight minus the sub.

brock is a brutre. pure and simple. even if he implodes and never wins another fight his achievements are still impressive. the mental fortitude required to sign to fight herring, mir and couture so early is INSANE.

mma is not unskilled. wwe fighter being champ. tuf fighters making it. we all know that is bollocks and it doesn't hurt the game. it means brock is that good and it means tuf fighters are that good.

imagine any talented boxer turning pro against a bum then fighting an ex champ like roy jones and losing then fighting a contender like glen johnson then fighting hopkins, then rematching hopkins and then set to defend the belt against cloud. people shouldn't waste their time doing exact comparisons of my picks but you get the jist.

PLAIN AND SIMPLE. BROCK IS AN ANIMAL. Yes he is a homophobic redneck but they can be ****ing ANIMALS TOO!

Rocky couldn't make up the **** Brock is doing. Sure he has an amteur background in wrestling but like **** should that make you the UFC heavyweight champ when Nog, Mir, Couture, Vera, Congo, Cain etc etc are in the division.

Although Herring is way past his best this was his most impressive performance for me. Brock went the full 3 rounds and didnt even seem to break a sweat. Considering his sheer size i found that very impressive as well as how dominant he was simply using his size to completely bully and humiliate Herring. As for the rest of his wins iv found them rather academic. He reminds me alot of a prime Mark Kerr who simply used his size strength athleticism and sheer brute force to steam roller opponents.

He is Kerr without the sub and striking game. Just a huge and powerful human.

I've been rubbing this **** into people since he showed. He hasn't impressed me in any other way than him being new at this. No, I don't believe he's going to improve by much at all. His stand up will be horrid till the end of his career. If Randy Couture can pin him against the cage so can quite a few people.
Strat to beat him is simple, keep it standing, Mir could've done it without ******ed knees. Herring always had trouble vs simplistic wrestlers. Couture was all the way even with him and a LOT less tired before the tko.
He's a force but I think he's had lucky breaks. Couture had the right strategy but got cought. Mir is simply terrible at game planning and not smart enough to adjust during the fight. Herring is just Herring.
Carwin won't have any issues beating Lesnar. Most likely TKO/KO very early. He's everything Lesnar is and has skill.

    Lesnar respected Randy....

If Lesnar is mad at an opponent he's a different fighter....

Brock Lesnar is not an unstoppable rampaging monstar, but Carwin isn't gonna be the guy to stop him.

This is what I object to. Yes whats hes acheived is really good. But he's always looked beatable in all his fights. All this HES AN ANIMAL HE HAS 4XL GLOVES stuff is just silly.

He's not as skilled as Kerr, but is naturally much bigger, and doesn't have mental problems.

Of course he is a wrestler, but nowhere near as good as say, Coleman. But again, he's a natural heavyweight.

If you compare him to guys his own size though, he is less exceptional. He lost to Stephen neal , who lost to Kerry McCoy, who didn't do well at the Olympics. Brock, while a very good athlete, is not by any means unique, and there are bigger and better athletes than him.
