Objectively speaking, does Pacman stand a chance?

Mayweather is a great talent that would be favorite against anyone at 147 to 154. Saying that he won't have any trouble against any top welter is overrating him. 30% chance is about on the spot for me for PAC against PBF.

I am a fan of both these fighters and have always given PBF the edge 70%-30%, I still think though that Mayweather had doubts before, I see that there's a better chance of PAC-MAY after yesterday's fight - now that is good for boxing!

 

Anyone can be beaten.

But. Floyd ain't anyone and with that lackluster performance from Pac i think he's gonna outboxed by flood big time
There's a chance Floyd will make him look silly, but on the other hand Pac would be really motivated and might turn in a big performance like JMM did last night
I think it'll be a good fight if it gets made in the next year and a half or so
It's a shame Floyd is not more active though, boxing has evolved into too much business and all.

Btw now Floyd probably won't get much credit for winning over Manny right? He's supposed to beat him now

 

Pac has a puncher's chance. We saw Mayweather buckle to an old man Mosley. If Pac was given that opportunity it would be a different outcome. However, I do not think that opportunity will present itself. Mayweather is well aware of Pac's power.

I hope Pac does land some punches on Mayweather. As we saw with Hatton, Mosley and Ortiz; Mayweather fighting under pressure is sweet science. He can lay wood if he gets tagged. If he's not forced, he will pot shot all night.

 

If everything would be based on analogies or theories why make fights at all? It was almost unanimous before that PAC would be too much for JMM and now we all know what happened.

 

He does have a punchers chance, but Mayweather has a good chin. Old or not Shane packs a great punch he Ko'ed Margarita pizza faced.

Pac needs one hell of a lucky punch or he needs to wear mayweather down, accumulative punches.
Can't see it though, but i hope Pacman comes back like his old self ie. the Cotto fight, thought he looked a little off last nigh not himself

But i think he would have, had Pac shown up better conditioned.

You can always say hypothetical speaking that Brian Mcbride would have a chance against Prime Tyson, but wait a minute then Tyson gets into trouble gets older and you have a different fight, he ended up beating Tyson. There's intangibles and everythings possible isn't what the thread is about.

I agree though Pac has about 20-30% chance, but not if he shows up like last night. I think he will be better if the fight gets made, maybe he'll be close to prime and we'll have a better fight.
But right now he wouldn't stand much of a chance against Floyd

No problem, just telling i can't see Pacman winning based on what i saw against Marquez.
TBH he looked a little unmotivated, i think he might not want the fight with
Floyd unless he knows for sure he can get back to prime or near prime
