    Tshifawe Munyai.

Big lanky Bantamweight, destroyed some top British fighters and was always making those 101 best KO programmes.

Mel Turnbow was a name that was kicked around a bit, by Chuvalo, Liston and others. Only stopped two opponents, but did drop Cleveland Williams in 1966, several months before the Big Cat challenged Ali.

Chuvalo said an uppercut Mike DeJohn buckled him with was the hardest single punch he ever took. As that match was videotaped, footage of this punch exists. That particular action has not been part of the portion shown on youtube as yet.

He was ranked as one of 100 greatest punchers by ring magazine. His ko over Sean O'Grady was awesome!! He had Arguello badly in hurt in that 1st round.

    Another big obscure puncher
    Ruben Munoz
Tony Baltazar maybe he dont qualify since he was a popular tv attraction, but man he could punch!

The Atomic Spider. Remember him battering Martin Power into salt a couple of times and beating down Lee Haskins, but he always struck me as being more of an attrition fighter than a huge puncher. Nice blast from the recent past though man.....

I recall Jimmy Thunder having heavy hands and sparking the odd fringe fighter.

Leva Kirakosyan - the current EBU super featherweight champion - is an underrated puncher. Did a couple of impressive demolition jobs on Carl Johanneson a few years back when Johanneson was being touted as a potential world champion.

Tony either KO'd you or got KO'd but he was an impressive puncher, not much defense but a ballsy puncher

1930's heavyweight: Lorenzo Pack- The Mac Foster of his Era

1940's heavyweight: Henry "Snow" Flakes- One of the brightest young prospects to ever grace the ring, his career ended tragically.

1950's heavyweight: Earl Walls(he is not obscure to big time boxing fans, but mostly to general public. this guy was a serious threat to Marciano)

Kiko Bejines- Bantamweight with devistating power. sadly killed in a Bantamweight championship fight.
Rafael Ruelas, had a great punch.
Bernardo Prado-consodered to be one of the biggest punchers in the Welterweight division. Cuevas fought him on his first post Hearns bout at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles. So many fans showed up. Police took care of crowd control. Cuevas won by 2nd round KO.

I liked the Chris Calvin annd Jeff Sims references as they were fringe contenders with ko power.

We had a journeyman roll through Indy back in the 70's named Donny Meloncon who laid local prospect and future 154lb title challenger Gary Guiden out ice cold.

Wouldn't Nick Wells deserve a mention here?

Vic Patrick was an Australian lightweight and welterweight champion during the golden age of Australian boxing and is arguably the best Australian fighter never to win a world title.

A southpaw he was a huge puncher especially with his left which compensated for a somewhat awkward style. He cleaned out two divisions compiling a 52-4-1 (45) record and only the Second World War stopped him from competing at an international level.

Eventually his world title aspirations were ended by visiting American star Freddie Dawson who climbed off the floor to stop Vic in one of the best fights in Australian boxing history.

    A great puncher though.

Wayne Alexander, British light middle. Fringe world class fighter, with power in either hand. His knockout of takaloo is scary, damm he could crack.
