Martinez is a jr middleweight ! He said that is dispose to fight with Ward, Bute or Froch but at a c.w , so imo this thing is quite fair !

Also I think Martinez would be more advantaged fighting at 154 pounds with Floyd or Cotto because is more at his naturally weight . At his division , I see only one fight where Sergio could make some good money, and that it's against Chavez jr .

These WWs he's calling out not only provide the most bang for his buck, but provide the best test in skill (Mayweather and Pacquiao ARE the best out there if I'm not mistaken) and have been fighting in a division he ruled AND they wouldn't touch him when he was there. that's a pretty good reason to wanna fight them besides from the fact that it makes sense. He has to feed himself to be king at MW, then the powers that be in the WBC strip his belt from him and put it on Chavez Jr, and JCC Sr. flips **** when Martinez states he wants his belt back...seeing as he wasn't beaten for it.

Meanwhile the guy who just won the Super 6 and should be trying to unify all the titles instead wants to fight...a LMW posing as a MW. That's progress for ya.

Who gives Martinez the biggest test?: Void
Who gives Martinez the biggest payday: Void
Who's fighting at 154 on May 5th for the 2nd time?: Void

If you can fight the best, why be denied the chance when you've earned it? Martinez CAN make 154. If he needs to test himself by going to 168 and fight the kingpin there then name one thing other than size that Ward posseses that makes it so he should be a requirement for Martinez to fight to add to his legacy. Cause I thought beating Mayweather was the pinnacle of the boxing world accomplishments as of right now. Beating Ward > Beating Mayweather??

Ward should have been waiting for the IBF SMW title. Instead he wants a 154er that's been starching natural MWs and Froch gets the title shot. Who's the coward?

    ****ing ******.

Sergio was offered the fight with Pirog and backed down. Nobody gives a **** about Golovkin and Sturm. But Chavez Jr. is perfectly fine for Maravilla even though everyone knows he's eating diuretics like they are candy to make weight.

So Ward wants to fight Martinez
    Martinez wants to fight Mayweather
    Mayweather fought Marquez

Why? Risk v Reward. Fighting a bigger skilled boxer is tougher than fighting a smaller skilled boxer.

Martinez could take guys on at a higher weight, but he would have to come in at 157 to be most effective.

If he came in any higher, he would be carrying nothing but excess bodyweight that would significantly decrease his speed and not do a thing for his power.

He would be outweighted by 20 or 30 lbs on fight night.

I think it's reasonable to say Floyd and Martinez could fight because I think it's obvious that they've both matured around the same weightclass.

You can't expect Martinez to jump up as many weightclasses as Pac and Floyd when he started boxing in his twenties, and went from 147 to 160 already.

How high do you expect him to go?

If he does decide to go up in weight, he needs to concentrate on fighting bigger guys, and Andy Lee is a good style and size for him to match up against before taking on the likes of Ward.

I don't think he should go up, but I also don't think he should be calling out Floyd because Floyd has a very dangerous fight against Cotto coming up.

There are fights to be made in and around 154 and 160.

Why have him go up to a weightclass against Bute and Ward who will likely finish their careers at either light heavyweight or crusierweight?

    And who loves Larry Merchant?

**** Sergio, He aint no big time fighter, Hes an average fighter beating less than average fighters. What the **** makes him deserve a big payday. If he was a star then he would be getting star money. You get paid what the **** youer worth. Pac started from nothing and so did Money. Whats wrong with po ole Sergio. If Mayweather decides to fight him , Im sure he will kick his ass but he dont owe Sergio no fight or nothing else. What the **** do he bring to the table? Hes got at least 10 mill. Thats more than a whole bunch of mother****ers got. If he wants more then he can write a ****en book.
