odds on khan v barrera

I don't see him KOing Khan, even with his glass jaw, as he's not very powerful and he's moved up a weight class, so relative power is low. I expect him to outbox Khan in a lopsided UD

 

good call some people forget barrera is a really good technical fighter aswell as being a typical mexican warrior and he isnt getting stopped thats for sure barrera ud

 

Barrera is known, he beat Hamed.

Khan is known for losing to Prescott.

The British casual is just as likely to pick Marco.

 

Then again niether was the shot Gomez, Saying that what about the blown up featherweight Limond? I think this is to big a jump in class to soon for Khan, 34 or not you have to be realistic about this.

Dunno, Khan has a lot of fans, Barrera doesn't in the UK. In the build up to the fight all you'll hear in the UK media is how Khan is up for it, Khan wants to make up for Prescott, Khans in great shape and general pro Khan propaganda.

The British casual bookies punter and the British boxing fan are two different entities. Most non boxing fans in Britain think Hamed just got too cocky or out of shape or whatever, Barrera never really got as much credit in the UK for beating Hamed as he probably should have and most people probably don't even remember him as the man that beat Hamed, just that Hamed didn't fulfill his potential through his own lack of proffesionalism.

Exactly. And Khan doesn't just have a china chin, he has a grade triple A china chin. Most fighters don't get rocked by JABS, you know!

As much as I dislike Barrera, he is an ATG fighter & if Kahn is favourite then to me that is completely disrespectfull to a man of Barrera`s quality, 135 lbs or not.

Barrera`s only recent losses were close decisions vs (in a lot of peoples eyes) the top 2 p4p fighters in the world, Pac & JMM, he is past prime but far from shot, Kahn will have to fight the fight of his life to win & he better stick & move or it WILL be cutrains for him.
