Photos released today show Solis looking a lot fitter than at the press conference.

It looks likely he will dominate Austin if he doesn't have a Cuban sandwich frenzy between now and then.

Looks like some of his double chin may be gone, but it's really hard to tell what kind of shape he's in, because he's wearing a jacket in all of the pics.

Solis also stated: "My weight is not any matter." "I am in shape. Look at me. I'm not even breathing hard. I'm comfortable at this weight. I'm not even thinking about weight, only my conditioning."

    My guess is OVER 250.

I don't believe that too much as he practically boxed in Cuba for free. He may not love what he does but that doesn't mean that he hates boxing. Plus, he has said it himself that he wants to prove that he is the best HV in the World and that he wants to repeat what he did in the amateurs. So that's motivation right there! :good

200 pounds? No way. Solis is 30 years old and is way naturally bigger and older than his amateur days, so his perfect weight right now should be between 230-240lbs, even at 250lbs he is still very fast, powerful and effective. I am really hoping to see him between 250-255lbs in his bout with Austin. :good

Yeah I was just kidding around.

240 would probably be good weight for him.

He looks much more solid than Arreolla, even when he comes in 270

250 means he is a fat slob anyway. Realistically 240 would be impressive, not a pound more.

    225 is his ideal weight.

That's true...he's 247 in the pic below, and obviously overweight.

That's just a little overweight but he surely looks strong and way fitter than when he weighs 270lbs. That's actually the perfect weight for him, if he drops to 240 that's even better...:good

Well, I just saw a pic of Solis in training camp and it looks like he finally lost some weight !!! He looks around 250-255lbs the most, and that for him is a major breakthrough!

I highly doubt that, in the pic his face looks a lot thinner and also his back and belly...

He looks around 255-256lbs, maybe less but we'll have to wait to see. He still has until December 17 to lose some more !!!

Any weight loss from Solis is actually " very good news " and a major improvement !!! :hey

Granted its unlikely a 30 year old man will change his lifestyle overnight....but Chambers and Peter demonstrated that overweight heavies can turn it around and get into condition.

Not saying it's likely that Solis weighs in for Austin at 250, but if he even gets to 255, then that's his best weight in years. And with Klitschko in March, who's to say he couldn't lose another 15 lbs (255 to 240), given that he's gone from 300 to 265 already.

We'll see at the weigh-in how serious Solis is getting.
