The Kilitscko's have been dominating the divsion for yrs but their fights lack excitement, mostlyy because theyalways win and are never really tested. Both are still great fighters but i think it is time for a change and if Cuban Product, Odlanier Solis can come down in weight, perhaps to like 230 or so he could take bver and hold a title for awhile.....Fighting at 260 and standing 6'1'' is just to heavy, what would be a good weight for him. I think around 230 or so, that way he could be fast and have good stamina......He has good boxing skills and so far is undefeated and the best Hwy prospect out there. Is he the future of the division?............
Against a Klitschko I don't think so. He'd have to KO them to win. They simply throw to many punches, to accurately to lose decisions. I wouldn't have minded him getting a rematch vs. Haye first but since he has the eliminator for Vitali that wont be happening. And although I don't see it happening a lose to Austin would really slow his career down.
Just because they are dominating eveyrone don't mean they are not *tested*. They are *tested*, but pass the tests with flying colors. Give credit where its due. :good
It's going to be up to Solis's conditioning. If he can keep his weight under control...no way Klitschko could defect Solis. Solis is a very technical boxer and can out-box anybody in the ring....
No he's too fat which limits his mobility and lateral movement... I wouldnt bet on seeing him weigh 240 much less 230. But he does have some skill and a good chin and some power and confidance but the guy is just too slow... he's not going to win if he's fat.. its just not gonna happen.. Klitschkos are too good too well conditioned too dedicated and too skilled and versatile.
There are two essential fallacies in your reasoning: 1) that he CAN come down in weight. He has shown no will to do so thus far. 2) that it would be healthy for him to loose the weight. Yo-yo weight gain and loss is extremely hard ont he heart, and at 30, he is no spring chicken. From Jim Jefferies to Roy Jones to Chris Byrd, boxing is filled with examples of guys who looked worse when they LOST the weight.
Vitali or Vladimir by knockout over Solis. Solis can't talk his way to a win, he will have to fight for it. He eats with Arreola.
