Odlanier Solis vs Chris Arreola

Who do you guys think wins the battle of Fat boys No all kidding aside im a fan of Arreolas and he is the most exciting HW out there, but i was also impressed with Solis tonight outside of his weight 268!He throws punches with bad intentions, and looks as strong as a bull. This would be exciting thats for sure as both throw big strong punches, Solis has the edge in handspeed and looks like he might even hit a little harder, but i like Chris's Combos,and i think he has better conditioning. Solis feet look like they were stuck in quick sand, he looked a little clumsy when he had to chase Drummond. Was drenching in sweat after 3 rounds,although that might not mean nothing i just get the feeling he might get winded.

To be honest with you, I think this fight makes a hell of a lot of sense to put together for several reasons. Maybe not as much sense for a couple of other minor reasons. But as far as where these two guys stand right now, they would be a good measuring stick for each other, as this would serve as a crossroads fight for Arreola as well as a much needed step up in opposition and a very worthy test for Solis. A victory in this one would instantly send the winner into championship contention. It's not as if either of these guys has a whole hell of a lot of time on their side either. On top of that, this fight would surely be a great one, with the possibility of being one of the more entertaining heavyweight fights in recent years. They should seriously make it happen. Why not?

Solis easily outboxes Arreola. However, Vitali took 10 rounds to finish off Arreola, meaning Solis won't do it at all. He cannot control Arreola in the same fashion that Vitali did (flawlessly, embarrassingly, humiliatingly, total domination, bossed and tossed, and forced to cry). Arreola isn't exactly the kind of guy to force you into backup gameplans. He's pretty straightforward, and makes no secrets about it. It would be a test in mental fortitude for Solis. One X factor though, if either guy were to show up to the fight with a pair of titties I would immediately declare him the underdog, as I believe conditioning would be a big decider in this one.

I think some underrate Arreolas boxing skillls (he was a National Golden gloves champ) although Solis has an even better amatuer resume. You mentioned footwork advantages for Solis but that was the one weakness i noticed last night, seemed to be stuck in quick sand,although i think he has faster hands than Arreola. Overall good points though, the reason i picked Arreola was because at this point i think he has better conditioning and more experience in the later rounds.

Actually Arreola has a big fight coming up and if he beats Adamek he is back in the mix. I think this fight is a good measuring stick for Arreola. Solis is the one who needs to step it up to be in contention.

I think id pick Solis over Peter. Although if Solis isnt in condition and Peter is he might take Solis into deep waters.

No doubt about Arreola's boxing skills. Very underrated. Similar to Samuel Peter in my opinion. Solis' footwork is nothing to write home about, and whether or not it's a weakness, he still has that as an advantage over Arreola. I'm kinda pissed that this fight is only an imaginary one though. I'd LOVE to see it.

I m surprised Solis has such a good lead over Arreola. Im thinking its cause there is alot of Arreola haters. WHy ? If its his weight well Solis has been weighing more than chris.
