Give Solis the Eddie Chambers diet and he'll have a chance of winning a fight he should win easily in shape.
Agree, with a little discipline Solis would be 230lbs and a hell of a fighter, who would just outclass KJ. I think he will show up 10lbs lighter for this one, but that's still way too fat and that should make things even, although I consider Solis to be the more talented men of the two.
More talented ? He´s more experienced, cause he had a long amateur career. Johnson started boxing late, had almost no amateur career. It´s amazing what he already did in the pro´s (most impressive to me is when in his only 4th professional fight drew with Timur Ibragimov. Ibragimov was already 13 and 0 and he had a very good amateur background, former Olympian.) If this gus has not tremendous talent for boxing, i don´t know.
nice fight, but wasnt it supposed to be pinoy power 2? i thought all fights would involve filipinos, anyway, i aint complaining. this is a great fight
Good post, marting!:good I for my part think that their fight can really go either way.I dont dare to bet any money on either Johnson nor Solis. You are right, marting! Johnson has the better fight record, but my point was that Solis doesnt have a padded record either. I hate to watch Solis enter the ring as if he had just been to McDonalds carrying unnecessary weight with him around his waists.Solis has talent, but he seems to lack the right attitude towards his choosen profesion. He seems to rely too much on his God given talent and take a leaf out of his compatriot Gomez' book who prefers paryting to sweating inside a gym. True crossroad fight for both of them! May the better man win!
if u ever saw solis when he was his best you would know that hes way more talented than johnson no question about it
Solis has a world class chin and won't be KOd. Regardless how often it is repeated on this forum, his amateur weight wasn't 201 but 230 lbs at the end of his amateur days. He beat the last two superheavy Euro champs Kubrat Pulev and Islam Timurziev and Olympoic medallist Glazkov at superheavy. He STILL is overweight but not by as much as people make it. He certainly is the favorite in this one.
