I feel bad for BOTH fighters:

Obviously, Cheka got jobbed here, and he should be losing his mind with anger right about now.

- But Arik also got robbed: Robbed of a chance at a clear & decisive win, that would have boosted his reputation. Instead, now everyone will talk about how protected and hyped he is.

IMO, Arik was in complete control of this fight, just SO much faster than Cheka. Except for that one moment where he lost focus, and suffered the KD, he avoided or deflected nearly every one of Cheka's punches. He was CLEARLY waiting for the later rounds, as I predicted, and when he did open up, well... yes a BS stoppage, but the rest of the fight would have been his, anyway.

We got robbed of a great finish, and Arik got robbed of a clear victory.



So sez I.

 

Bull**** anyone who knows the slightest bit about boxing couldn't possibly think that.

 

Damn, I'm just checking out Arik on Boxrec. Too bad he's already 32 years old. Another massive talent wasted by lack of good promotion. This guy could really have been something, with the right backing.
