I think Solis will win a close, possibly controversial decision over Barrett. Barrett will give a good fight but the propsect will prevail, though in controversial circumstances most likely.
Barrett clearly beat Dominick Guinn and he still got a split decision win.

What a joke. Solis TKO's Barrett inside 5 rounds. Solis will definitely come in more trimmer and weighing between 245 and 248lbs most likely as he has been training hard for 4 months. Go Solis! Show the World what you got!!! :good

So how much time has Barrett to get himself into serious shape ? This sucks.

Dam the Oquendo fight would had been a better test for Solis than Barret that is shot.

I don´t think Barrett is shot. He looked somewhat sharp in the Haye fight, Haye was simply too fast for him. If Barrett is in serious shape i give him a decent chance to expose Solis. Solis was a great amateur, but that doesn´t mean that he will make a great pro. A lot of good Cuban amateurs made it to pro and never reached the top. Looking at Solis´ body, it doesn´t seem like he is taking it very serious.

I was disappointed Solis-Johnson fell through, but this is a pretty good alternative.

Solis does his homework he should be able to boss this. It's only a concern if he comes in half-hearted and doesn't knuckle down, because Barrett has the experience to old man him to a loss.

I'm hoping for Solis by stoppage.

    Interesting replacement.

Haye was extremely careful when he fought Barrett, almost frightened, cause he knew Barrett pack a punch. He fought in the way a cruiserweight would fight a real heavyweight.
I believe Barrett can walk through Solis punches, therefore he can be a real threat to Solis. Now Solis cannot do what Haye did as he is not as fast as he used to be. It will be interesting to compare their performances against Barrett.

Solis' people aren't stupid (presumably) - this is their 2nd chance to take a total can after Johnson fell through and they haven't. Solis MUST be in decent shape.

Huge questions around Barrett - 3 days notice? All logic points to a reasonably prepared Solis taking out a 38 yr old, inactive Barrett. On a good day, Barrett is a solid test, but this isn't that day.
