Really glad Thompson got the win and I hope this is the last we hear from Solis unless he decides to get into shape which simply won't happen.

You knew when their weights were announced that Solis wouldn't win the fight. He had trouble fighting all 12 rounds last time and coming into this fight 15 pounds heavier meant he was never going to go 12 rounds tonight.

Thompson and Solis were both in the WBC's top 15 so this win should push him up their rankings and maybe into some sort of eliminator. Atleast this time its for Wilder's belt and not Wlad's. We don't need Wlad-Thompson 3.

I actually think Solis quit due to a legitimate injury, seemed to be something wrong with his left arm. He didn't use it all the last rounds, I think he either had torn ligaments in his shoulder and made a calculated decision to quit to save his career or suffered a heart attack.

To safe his "career". I think there is no career left to be saved...

I bet you didn't give any credence to Stivernes excuses after Wilder.. Always an agenda with you lol.

Wilder was just as damaged as Stiverne was, it was a very even fight.

Solis took a harsh beating and had enough of it. That's it.

Can we finally put to rest the idea that Solis had the potential to be great?

Öhner will surely find an interesting venue for Solis next fight. Might be some school gym in Dagestan, opponent will be dragged out of a local bar on fight night, they'll put some turkey into his pockets and Solis will go ham on him

He quit because he couldn't keep up because he was too fat and out of condition, he was totally gassed after 4 rounds. Thompson was toying with him for 5 rounds and about to deck him. He was lying on the ropes out of breath at the start of the round and the ref had no choice but to give him a standing count out! Embarrassing! Glad TT won.
