57-57 on my card. Solis lands the cleaner stuff...when he throws punches.

Thompson will get screwed on the scorecards, he's winning on a steady jab and workrate. However I think Solis has some gears to go through in the next few rounds. I think he could catch Thompson with a nice counter and put him down.

I see it as Solis just messing Thompson up. Takam would have been easy hype, Jonhson would basically have been a gift. Thompson is the tough fight.

This was written before the fifth and the sixth now it sorta looks like Thompson is gonna get that Ko.

:conf I did have it 39-37 Solis myself through four... the early stuff was close, but Thompson has definitely taken over. My card now reads level but Thompson is bossing him and has gotten the overall best of the action thus far.

For as dire as this fight is, the scoring is even worse. No way is Solis winning this as he isn't doing enough.

Had that round for Solis, he countered nicely. Thompson seems to be getting tired while Solis looks like he's saving himself for the championship rounds.

3-4 solis - thompson after 7. Thompson is in stalk mode, while Solis occasionally still looks good in bursts. Still easily a round for Thompson.

    Round 7

Solis is covering up and jogging in circles as Thompson whips out the southpaw 1-2 from a distance. Thompson leans over, upper body twisted in toward Solis and left shoulder raised slightly, poking out at Solis' throat and high on the chest with right jabs. Solis is pushing off the ropes with both forearms bundled together and eating left hand leads as he looks to jab his way free. Left and right uppercuts into and below the elbows by Thompson.

    10-9 Thompson

    67-66 Thompson
