Thompson is backing up and using shake-n-bake movements, albeit slow and ungainly, on the outside to keep Solis from getting into a comfortable rhythm with his jabbing pressure. Solis is finding Thompson, however, with the looping right on the chin and some high left hooks, putting more emphasis into those shots than his throwaway jab. Solis is crowding Thompson and forcing him to execute frequent turns away from the corners and ropes. A few paddling jabs up high on the head over the gloves by Solis.

Thompson is jabbing down at Solis, managing to squeeze in between his thumbs and leave a trickle of leather on the bridge of the nose. Solis counters with high-incline up-jabs and overhand rights as he backs up and jumps laterally. 1-2 by Thompson ducked. Solis is rolling his shoulders at mid-range and manages to undulate greasily beneath a lazy right jab from Thompson. No counter by Solis, just continuous jogging in a circle away from Thompson. Right jabs by Thompson walking Solis down. Flashes of hand speed from Solis, threatening but never counterattacking in a serious manner.
