PRESS RELEASE: After Vitali Klitschko declassed Kingpin Kevin Johnson Saturday night in Bern , Switzerland, Arena Box CEO Ahmet Öner is convinced that his heavyweight, Odlanier Solis, will be next in line to challenge the WBC champion. I hope that this was the last living sandbag Vitali had to fight before facing a real challenge next year, said Öner. His next mandatory challenger will be Odlanier Solis. And I can promise that Solis will not only try to survive but go for the kill when he finally faces Klitschko. Solis is currently rated #3 in the WBC but should advance because of #2 Oleg Maskaevs shocking first round TKO loss against Nagy Aguilera Friday night in California. Originally the WBC had ordered an elimination bout between Maskaev and #1 rated former champion Ray Austin. Now Öner hopes that Solis will take over Maskaevs spot and fight Austin to determine the next mandatory. We will try to make this fight happen as soon as possible, states Öner. Solis will knock out Austin first and then go on to beat up Vitali. Odlanier is the only fighter out there who is a real threat to either Klitschko. He would have knocked out Johnson if they had fought back in October and he will even take out Vitali with his speed, power and accuracy. Solis would be the second mandatory challenger for Vitali Klitschko promoted by Ahmet Öner after his fellow Cuban Juan Carlos Gomez lost to the WBC champion back in March. Gomez showed a solid performance against Vitali but he proved not to be the man to end the Klitschkos reign, says Öner. With Solis its a different story. He is the next generation of heavyweight boxing. He is hungry, aggressive and ready to show the world that he is the best boxer in the world.
Öner doesn't get the irony of saying that Solis is hungry...one of the most obese top HW's along with Chris Arreola. Sorry, but fighters who need a training camp to get from clinically obese to just overweight aren't going to beat Vitali. They can't improve their boxing or finetune their movement if they enter a camp completely out of shape. Just like you can't teach an obese person dancing effectively. And anyone, even a talent like Solis, would need to finetune their boxing for Vitali to have a chance.
solis is a good fighter who is not dedicated to boxing as much as he is to mcdonald`s without any leg speed to get in close , because he is to heavy ,he will be potshotted from distance by vitali .
Hey Sean, check out this tattoo my buddy just did on someone... This content is protected : ) Thought you might like that...
what you wrote in the thread is what is said about BOTH Klitschko's everytime a fight is announced or a match up is compaired..... "X fighter has a chance" or 'X right can/will pull off the upset" then we all know what happens
Vitali would beat his ass. Thats a joke of a fight in my opinion. Solis needs to lose about 50 ****ing pounds first and show he takes boxing seriously
Solis is about 2 years of professional experience and 50 pounds of goo away from being a legitimate threat to Vitali. The guy hasn't fought anyone that earns him serious consideration as a worthy challenger.
