I don't know. The word on the street is Solis isn't too eager to press for a fight with anyone but a cheeseburger named Big Mac.

You are wrong and really don't know much, Austin was the one who because personal or contractual issues didn't want to fight.
Anyway that fight was planned a long time and is a no go by now.

Speaking of Austin I thought he was a mandatory after beating Williamson? Whatever did happen to that?

However good Austin's lawyers are, the WBC ordered the eliminator back in April. Vitali's mandatory defense should probably be his next fight after Briggs, so the WBC needs to sort out who their #1 contender is. Unfortunately the first 3 names (Austin, Solis, SNV) are all inactive at present.

Solis and Austin should just get in the ring. Or maybe Vitali can have mercy on us and give Austin his shot and retire him.

I think Austin is the best we could see for Solis October date, at least it would guarantee a fight against the Klitchkos.

If Solis is focused and serious he beats Austin with mild resistance.

Strange the WBC was quick to appoint Solis vs Valuev eliminator, leaving #1 Austin completelly out, and it backfired. I hope they are as quick to apoint Solis vs Austin now.

I hope Austin wins so we can see him get smashed by a Klitschko again. It was quite lovely last time it happened

It's time boxers are required to fight more often.

I remember awhile ago Austin pulled out and sued the WBC, I haven't heard any updates since then.

That fight needs to happen. I'd like to see Solis pummeled by Vitali if he gets by Austin.
