    “If Amir Khan beats Canelo, we’ll obviously do the rematch,” Oscar said yesterday, as quoted by The Guardian. “But I’m very confident. I like Golovkin, he has a great style, he’s a real fighter and he’s created a mystique that I love. It’s just a matter of time. Believe me it will happen very soon.”

    GBP really is in no rush to make this fight. Canelo is their cash cow hell he's the cash cow of boxing. Why risk him to getting knocked out by GGG when they don't have to right now? They can take easier fights and still make tons of money then get to GGG down the line hoping that he either gets beat gets old or moves up. I don't think Canelo fears GGG he would fight him but GBP don't think like that and with the backing of the WBC it makes it that much easier.

    Absolutely true. Canelo was so called scared to fight Trout,Lara too and he did it. About 3 years ago Canelo was suppose to be the beast to slay Floyd too. Times have certainly changed with the hate squad.

    Nonsense. Canelo fought Kirkland, when he could have fought Andrade or Jermall Charlo. Canelo gets props for fighting Austin Trout when Trout was undefeated.

    Golovkin is a completely different monster compared to ANYTHING canelo has faced. Canelo sparred with GGG, so he knows full well what could happen to him in the real ring. Canelo knows GGG beats him badly. Regarding a Golovkin fight, Canelo is wise to follow ODLH advice in avoiding him now that GGG is in his dangerous prime.

    Canelo will not take this fight in 2016. He doesn't need to. Canelo can make money fighting less dangerous fighters.
