Canelo is 5 ft 8. GGG is 5ft 10.5. Canelo needs to drain back down to 154 and stay there as long as possible. His frame doesn't belong at 160. Canelo doesn't need to fight GGG. But he does need to vacate the WBC title so Golovkin can unify and then fight Degale.

 

ggg also saw something in canelo otherwise he would have taken the fight at 155 in a heartbeat. canelo is twice as skilled as ANYONE on gggs resume.

Name any other top middleweight that can drain to 155 and fight effectively. There's none. Imagine 3 super middle weight titles being fought at 161. A mockery of the sport. There's already 17 weight classes. Canelo needs to stop being a diva and fight at the limit or VACATE. I'm not saying that Canelo needs to fight GGG. All I'm saying is that he either fifgts GGG at the limit or vacate.

I agree with this, but how many voluntaries/non title fights can Canelo have?

Apparently they put a voluntary request in to Golovkin and his team after they beat Cotto.

The WBC has stated they have to negotiate to fight each other if they both get through their next fights.

Unless there's a pay off somewhere down the line, Canelo will have to make a decision soon.

This isn't about MW, the WBC, or any other sanctioning body, they have PROVEN to be a mockery.

I don't care that Canelo has the WBC JOKE MW title, because it's what I said it was, a JOKE. I don't even care who is champion anywhere abouve 135 because that's where it gets most corrupt since those are the money weighclasses.

I want to see top fighters fight top fighters, title or no title. We all know GGG is the real MW champion, a Canelo fight would be purely for the fans.

Fighters who have paid their dues and have gained extreme popularity don't need to bow down to the correupt sanctioning organizations.

 

He can have plenty especially with fights like Khan. The WBC makes more money with Canelo being their champ than they do with GGG it's all about money. They will allow this dog and pony show for as long as they can get away with it. Not to mention if PBF says he wants to come back then all bets are off GGG will then go to the back of the line.
