I like how people try to rewrite the past. The fights Oscar had with Quartey,Vargas,Whitaker and the 1st Chavez fight where damn near superfights and all of which he won but now years later its only the fights he lost which where his biggest.
No , Ricky Hatton is the biggest hype job in the last 20 years , you could also say David Haye but he isn't that popular.
Gotta agree there. Ricky Hatton was a club fighter that reached superstardom. I still cant figure that out. The OP actually has as option for ODLH as a cherry-picker? You have to be ****ing kidding me. Dude fought everyone.
Listen, De La Hoya was beaten convingly by shane the first time, and shane won the rematch fair and square, MOST boxing reporters that night gave it to Shane, and a lot said they based that on clean effective punching during the fight, which they could see and hear being at ringside, and it was clear Shane was the one landing the cleaner shots, he had Oscar hurt a couple of times in the fight, and at the end of the day all three judges gave it to Shane. The HBO and Sky commentators had given the fight to Oscar before the bell. Oscar beat Chavez, a good win, but chavez was 34 and 36 in both fights. Willy wise beat chavez shortly after the second fight. Whitaker fight was close and some gave it to Pernell. Vargas he beat, a good win, but Mayorga also beat him vargas, Shane beat him twice, and Trinadad you could argue took something out of him. Quartey i think is Oscars best win, a split decision. Floyd beat Oscar easliy, it was a clear fight and easy to score, apart from the first few rounds, Oscar really struggled to do anything in the fight. he fought most people he needed to, and most of his fights were exciting, he brought a lot of good for boxing and continues to do so but overall he is a good fighter, no doubt, but based on his resume you can see he is put on a pedestal slightly higher than his worth by a lot of people, as he got so much media backing and support.
Anglosaxon started this thread. It's a B-Slice alt, and the same poster as Pavlik is Champ. That's right! "B-Slice," "Anglosaxon," and "Pavlik is Champ" are all the same person! Pipe Wrenched figured it out this morning. We called him out big time, and he disappeared.
oscar gave us some good fights so what if he lossed a few. its not like he was ever laid out flat on his back
