I'm sorry but I'm not mixing up anything. GGG having the belts is irrelevant as to who's the draw and the A-side here. That's clearly is Canelo. If GGG wants this fight he will have to stop being a diva and accept Canelo's terms humble himself and realize that Canelo calls the shots not the other way around or there will be no fight. That's the way it works. GGG is not the exception to the rule, greater fighters than him have been dictated to. GGG seems to have a problem with being dictated to and that's why I'm calling him a diva.:deal:

Well if GGG is not going to want to make concessions here to get this fight made, I can see why people would use the term "diva" to describe him. He's very popular, don't get me wrong, but his PPV wasn't exactly eye candy either.

That said, when Pac was demanding a 50/50 split he was in the right to do so, because his PPVS were doing extremely well, and his popularity was at an all time high. GGG hasn't quite reached that Manny popularity imo, so he's gotta pay to play. All fighters have to do that at some point.

    Yes you are!
The a-side thing is the diva thing. All kind of demands because of being the celebrity boxer, that somehow trumps actual championships and things accomplished in the ring.
Walking out last while not the champion but bigger name > diva antics.
First on the poster while not the champion > diva antics.
Demanding more money while not the champion > diva antics.
Demanding location, venue, referee, judges or even gloves while not the champion > diva antics.

Not having that sh*t > reaction of a normal confident human being.

Canelo was the champ, and he had to budge to all of Floyd's demands to get that fight, and still walked in first, it was the same with Cotto as well. GGG is going to have to budge, or there won't be a fight. If he wins, now Canelo is in the backseat, so it's worth getting your biggest payday (Taking the flat fee)in order to make even more money the next time and call the shots.

Sure... but it's still the diva antics.
The celebrity status wins it over the actual boxing championships. Changing the rules set by the organisations and replacing them with your own, is what a diva does.
You don't call someone a diva for not wanting to comply to that. And certainly not if you don't even know if or not he does!

Nah....the only thing Canelo offers is money, and if he's gonna be stingy with it then screw him. He has rendered himself irrelevant, let him struggle with B level boxers until it eventually catches up with him

Not only money, but also the lineal MW title. The Ring Magazine title is just as prestigious as the Alphabet soup titles. It signifies the champion of the division.

The problem is GGG doesn't seem to think he has to pay his dues, he thinks he's above that. Do you think Canelo liked getting dictated to by PBF or Cotto? No but he did what he had to do to get those fights made. Do you think PBF liked being dictated to by Oscar no but he did what he had to do to get him in the ring. What about Pac with Oscar? No he didn't but he did what he had to do to get the fight done. What about Hopkins with Tito or Oscar? No but he did what he had to do to get the fight. What about Fury with Wlad? No but he did what he had to do and now he's calling the shots for the rematch. Do you see where I'm going? This just didn't start with Canelo it has gone on for years but for whatever reason GGG thinks that doesn't apply to him. He's the diva here for not falling in line and doing what it takes to make the fight when you're the B-side. Hell even PBF made concessions to Cotto when they fought and he was the cash cow but he let Cotto come into the ring last and he went in first, even though Cotto had the belt he could have pulled his A-side card but didn't he respected Cotto. GGG is a diva of the highest order period.

Impressive. If he stays at 155 maybe he can be the lineal MW champ for all eternity. A record that will never be broken.

155 is still the minimum weight for the MW division, and Canelo is still the Lineal champ at 160. People have to learn to accept this.

Whatever Pimp C. Wanting the boxing rules to apply makes Golovkin the diva in your eyes and Canelo the saint. Let's drop this, I'm not going to put any more energy in this obviously useless debate.

Canelo offers nothing at this point except a paltry amount of his cash cow-ness. Which is a temporary condition propped up by lingering on past accomplishments that are getting further and further distant in the rear view mirror.

From G's perspective I think it's best to let the fight marinate, as negotiating will be much easier in the future.

Ginger will ring up lower PPV numbers from his alienated fan base, and/or some B level scrub will take him to the deep waters in another dodgy UD. Meanwhile GGG puts on a big show against Brook, and then something else in the spring against whoever still possesses a pair of nuts at that point....

Then come 2017, when G is looking A and Canelo is looking B, will you have the same perspective? I'll go ahead and offer a guess, NOPE

Fine fight at 155 then........why does his opponent have to......as you said, the limit is 160. People have to learn to accept this

Canelo/GGG will not be at 155, as his fight in Dec. Will be as a full blown MW. When it happens it will be at the full limit of 160 pounds. The concessions he's going to have to make aren't going to pertain to weight, it will be about the Benjamin's.
