And I submit to you that the names at 54 are not really any bigger than the names at 60, certainly by your measurement of paper view drawing power it's a tossup

As far as the changing the subject, yes let me do that, are you/were you a fan of Marvin Hagler?

Hagler never challenged himself! He only picked on WW's and a LW Duran. I answered for a "consistent" Pimp C.:loko2gaydude:

Your cheer leading ass will do these boys no favors none of them have refuted anything I said. GGG wanted fights with JCC Jr who had no belts at 160 or 168 period. He wanted a fight with PBF who had no belts at 160 period and now hes fighting another guy a WW who has no belt at 160 period. So much for unification.:deal:

I never anywhere said that I viewed Canelo as the best middleweight in the division. And I've repeatedly referred to both Floyd and Pac as the P4P con artists they are. And never once have I "harped on" about "PPV sales proving how good a fighter is".

And it looks like you mixed one of my quotes up with someone else's. So I'm assuming you may have gotten mixed up.

But I stand by my point. Floyd & Pac were virtual equals in terms of PPV sales, so Pac accepting a flat fee would have been stupid. But for GGG and an opportunity to face Canelo, a flat fee (depending on the fee) could make a lot of sense. Mainly a career high payday, an easy victory, and the upside that could potentially take him to the next level financially going forward. Pacquiao was already making ridiculous money - Golovkin makes a tiny fraction of what Pac was earning.

I have refuted plenty of things you said,

Marvelous Marvin Hagler would take a big steaming dump over every word you said,

Sorry Rummy I wasn't aiming that at you at all but at the Canelo clan. I respect your views on the sport & actually agree with 99 % :) I just do not see PPV sales in the past really affecting a future fight. I think the majority of fans world wide consider GGG the REAL Middleweight Champ. I really was amazed to see how the Mexican fighters & fans around here have disowned Canelo they really meant it when they said Mexican Fighters FIGHT!!! They don't meekly hand over a title they'll FIGHT !! to try to keep it.

Fair post, although Floyd was a little bit bigger draw they were certainly closer to par with each other then this case

You make a valid point, this is talking business, if you really have a framework of how much can be made in the remainder of Gs career you can potentially negotiate that flat fee with more confidence. Meaning yes come down and give a little now because his Ginger ass does represent a lucrative opportunity, as long as nothing derails the train before you can get him in the ring, then everybody loses. What everybody seems to be to dense to accept is the opportunity is now, Canelo is between weights and he's going to either struggle with somebody decent or be forced to put on mismatches and neither are going to play well with his drawing power and leverage

I am that unconfident and Canelo right now, based on his actions and the fact that if you really look at it he has scraped by every tough challenge some even say he lost one or two

Who said I was comparing him to triple G, I'm changing the subject. Are you a fan of Marvin Hagler?
