Think about this. It behooves GBP try and keep 3G from getting all the belts. If for the sole reason that canelo facing BJ Saunders for his trinket is a much easier fight then beating 3G for his.

Beating BJ would allow Canelo to campaign at MW, while still calling himself a champion there. Is he still technically the linear MW champ? Sure, but that's pretty much been wiped clean with his dumping of his only MW title, and fighting for a belt in another division.

I've asked this question before, does anyone think canelo would stick around a division, MW in this case, and NOT try to be the world champ? I can't see canelo wanting to be the second fiddle of a division.

It's ego which gives 3G some pull in negotiations, despite not being the A-side. Basically, the B-side has what the A-side wants.

EXACTLY ^ It would be in Canelo's interest for GGG to come in at 80-90%. It's BJS' belt that they want, and Fishnets is not a serious negotiator here. Golovkin must just go for the belt and continue operating as though the Canelo fight was never happening. If it happens, it happens. Ginger wants no part of GGG until he looks shot.

I really dont care for Golovkin Canelo.If they want to make the fight, then make it. Otherwise its just noise.
Canelo has Chavez Jr problems he needs to focus on.

 

A-side has the more guillable fans and therefore more money

B-side will have ALL the belts, an equally big name (Latin community aside) which is growing and a bigger and better reputation.

If Chavez sparks out Canelo the GGG fight is dead.
