    Id rather Linares-Garcia.

I feel like Loma will fight Beltran after Beltran takes care of Moses for the WBO title.

After that, IDEALLY the winners would fight

That’s the smart business move. Arum can pray Linares beats Garcia and yeah.

Actually, their relationship is quite OK, as far as I understand. Well, definitely better than between Arum and some other promoters.

Lomachenko would style all over Mikey. Mikey is very basic/technically sound and kind of slow, which means Lomachenko will process that info in 2-3 rounds before he goes to work and makes Mikey look ordinary.

Power aside, Linares presents a much greater set of problems for Lomachenko.

    Absolutely agree.

Mikey likely can't make 135lbs anymore - he has that fat mexican gene. I think at this point it's torturous for him to even think about. More likely he goes to 147lbs next. Loma beat him at any weight because he fights in straight lines and is slow.

in my opinion, the most skillful fight in the world that can be made is Lomachenko v. Linares. This would be a solid event.

It's the best fight to make imo. A no brainer at the small weights. Just like Loma Rigo. Garcia might have outgrown 135 now so this is the biggy at 135 for me. Make it Bob!

Yep. Mikey is very basic, but he's a high level operator. There aren't many nuances to his game. You will notice that the most common praise heaped on Mikey is that he is fundamentally sound. When Loma and Mikey came face to face, he flat out called Mikey slow.

If Garcia is so "very basic" then WHY hasn't Arum picked up the phone and made the fight?

They (Garcia's camp) want a lot of money for this fight, among other things.

And "basic" does not necessarily means easy to beat. Mikey does simple things, but he does them very well.
But he's quite easy from a strategic point of view (how to plan a fight against him). The execution may not be that easy at all, though. :)

Linares, on the other hand, maybe easier to "execute" but very tricky to plan a fight against.

Mikey is basic, but he's very good at basic. Please argue otherwise.

Mikey fought Broner and now he's fighting Lipinets @ 140.

Mikey was given opportunities to fight Cotto, Linares, Easter, and Figueroa, and he passed on all of them to fight Lipinets.

If Mikey had ANY interest in fighting Lomachenko, he wouldn't have left 135. He's never going back down to 135. If he doesn't swerve Linares again, it will be at 140.

Mikey is basic just like Alabama football is basic. Plain vanilla, pretty retro, meat and potatoes, no bull****.....hard to beat. They lose now and then when a special team pulls them from their comfort zone.

Thats Mikey Garcia. 1-2 puncher, fights in straight lines, never off balance or out of position. But that doesnt cut it against the Matrix. He is too slow and predictable. He'll beat everyone 135-140 in the division besides Loma (and maybe Linares which i still think is 50/50).

TopRank is not rewarding Mikey's leaving toprank by rewarding him a big fight with one of their fighters. And why the hell should they?? Now he's on PBC fighting bums like Broner and Lipnets.
