ODLH vs Margarito at 154

Cotto allowed Margarito to turn their fight into a pissing contest....

I think Oscar would have been too smart for that and would have won a wide decision (if not late stoppage) Not to mention his chin holds up better than Cotto's...

 

I'm taking Margarito in this one. I think he gets the nod against Oscar, winning all of the last 5 rounds on stamina and workrate alone.

 

Margo had much better stamina than Oscar and it would depend which version of Oscar came up. The boxer version probably gets the first rounds, but Margo would walk him down with that pressure and Oscar was never good with pressure fighters. Now if the ko artist turned up like the one vs. Vargas, Mayorga, he ktfo Margarito. Bring that fight plan Margo would be a sitting duck. But the one that boxed 12 with Floyd would have trouble with Margo.

 

The ODLH that fought Tito would embarass Margo, the one that lost to PBF would probably lose to Margo as well. I wouldn't be shocked if Oscar found that straightforward style very easy to deal with though, and looked much better than expected.

 

With or without bricks in his gloves? Without is easily Oscar by UD or KO late, With is maybe Margarito by KO.

 

the loaded gloves is in or no? this is important.... bc margo look like utter s**t against mosley. The same fight he was caught made it worse. I say Oscar wins decision against margo if margo doesn't cheat maybe even a late vargas type ko. with bricks than Margo overwhelms late.

 

i told everyone oscar would come back at 154..am i good or what.. if dlh, trains and margs has no plaster or anything in his vains, i'd pick oscar...i should win a trip 2 spain. im out, im horny and hungry like a wolf!

Margo couldn't use his size advantage against ODLH. Because it didn't exist. He wouldn't knock him out and he wasn't good enough to outpoint a decent version of ODLH, imo. He would've taken the shell that Pac fought though. He may have his moments, don't get me wrong. As much hate as Margo gets now, he would probably have his moments in the fight. But I don't think it'd be enough by a long shot. Mayweather's speed and precision and defense worked on a very viable ODLH. Margo-no elite speed-not even average defense-maybe precision when ODLH starts to tire in the later rounds. Margo may not be a great boxer but offensively he had a good ring IQ and knew how to find good shots. Which is further emphasized by the fact that he got in those shots even with very lackluster speed.

 

Margarito aint stopping Oscar without bricks or with bricks, Oscar had a great chin.

ODLH outpoints him, too smart.. wouldn't fight the fight like how Cotto fought it.

 

not an oscarsexual by any means but he would take this...assuming he didnt take the second half of the fight off.

margo is hard not to hit. but he's gonna keep coming and throwing all night. he has a great workrate, stamina and a solid chin. thing is, oscar has a phenomenal chin and has shown a willingness to go to war. he's a much better boxer than margo. all this adds up to oscar by UD in my opinion. he could possibly ko him late if that left hook lands enough but a UD is more likely here considering margo's chin.
