Briggs did not. Sanders technically did (The WBU) but both would have had a great chance at winning major belts.
Briggs became the linear Heavyweight champ when he "beat" my man George Foreman in the late 90's :yep But technically he wasn't a "beltholder" until the mid 00's
I know, but that is not a belt though. Was also a terrible robbery. Schultz should have become linear and IBF champ. First robbed by American judges, then by Botha on roids.
