I don't think Citron can beat any of the top guys. But Williams does pose a lot of problems for Floyd

Nah....the boy could bang but just is not mentally tuff enough. I remember watching Mathysse fight Williams and kept thinking why does he get caught so much even though its not fazing him. If Cintron lands one of those 3 piece bombs he's capable of Williams just might have a problem. He started having difficulty with Margo's power the second half of the fight but sucked it up like a champ. Cintron has a small shot but Floyd will have big problems with the size and the way he punches

Floyd is starting too beat all his recent opponents before the fight even starts. He got them thinking he's a superbeing but if you look at how he fights now compared to lightweight he's not the same fighter. He's slower and doesnt move like he used to. He tricked Dela Hoya into not fighting correctly, like he usually does and Hatton looked malnurished and looked like he hasnt slept in a week. Baldomir was the only one who really didnt get tricked but lacked the skill or quickness to do anything.

His mental toughness is the problem. I remember Marg figuring him out in rnd 1. He stalked him like Chavez then destroyed him.

Yup and he'll do it again. He knows he is scared of Margo which will cause him to not fight well but he feels he could beat Williams which makes it exciting considering he hits alot harder than Williams but would just be battered anyway

Paul Williams doesn't have the power to keep Floyd off him. Defense wins Floyd boxing matches it sucks to throw 100 punches a round and only land 15 just because you have an reach advantage doesn't mean your going to land all of those punches in the mean time your in the ring with a defensive genius and a offensive technician he'd eat Paul's body up so those 100 punches turn into 30 on top of the fatigue and we all know Floyd Mayweather doesn't get tired so what happens after 6 rounds and Paul can't keep his hands up cause he's tired from missing....bottom line is he'd be made to look like Diego Floyd is to fast and to accurate and Paul is to big and to slow and will only get slower stop amping Paul he ain't did nothing yet.

  6. Cotto would have no chance against FM:-( Cotto is soooo predictable and knows one way of fighting he comes straight in, and he's to slow and with Floyd's defense, wouldn't be able to hardly land on Floyd, Mayweather would counter him, and with the reach advantage box circles around him, FM would play with Cotto and win by late stoppage or lopsided UD..

Cotto-Hatton would be a better more competitive fight..

Cotto was able to catch Judah constantly, and though Zab doesn't have Floyd's defense, he is at least roughly as fast as Floyd imo. Cotto wouldn't have a problem actually touching Floyd, just a matter of whether he could crack Floyd's defense. I'd favor Floyd by a close decision, but Cotto would have a good chance.

Williams amps himself, he doesnt need me. He beat the guy that Floyd ran, yes ran from. He was offered 10 mil for the fight and..........faught Zab. Then gets confronted at a press conference and starts to stutter. He wantes no part of Margo along with Dela Hoya, Mosely and evryone else at WW and along came William and beat him. If you watched Williams fight you would understand that his arms are so freakin long and being 6'2, that he shoots combos from far and is hard to counter because he's so far out. He beats PB period. And what the hell you mean he doesnt have power????? Cintron KO's Mathysse and he's Tyson but Williams does it first and he has no power. Is that why Margo was so aggressive the first half of their fight......oh yea, he didnt want to come in for a reason.

    Agreed.

Margo is my boy and will **** anybody up that fights him, (win or lose), but Williams is the truth.

Here's my crystal ball for now. Floyd believes Cotto will beat DLH. Lets assume he's right. He will wait for that fight to conclude, then the hype will be stratospheric and there will be big, big $$$$$$$$$. He'll beat Cotto: too fast, too skilled, and just as smart. Then Floyd takes on Williams and everyone hypes Williams as too big, skiils that match Floyd's, and lots of speed. What's Floyd thinking? Floyd takes the fight to Williams, and works inside, and the fight will remind everyone of Leonard/Hearns #1.

    Possible? Likely?

Ran from Margarito who has Margarito beat??? An unproven Cintron???
Margarito is a walk in the park for Floyd he has no name and didn't deserve a shot period. I would rather make a build up fighting Zab for the same amount at least i know Zab is a more popular name within the boxing community and is a way better fighter than Margarito when focused. Williams combinations wouldn't be squat his inexperience will make him freeze up just like Hatton did and any one else who was supposed to pressure Floyd.

And no he doesn't have enough power to keep Floyd honest. He doesn't hit harder than Zab or Delahoya he's just a tall fighter who throws a lot of punches because he has flaws and insecurities in other area's dude is overrated amd would get beat to the punch everytime.

PLUS he does not deserve his/a shot at Floyd yet at all. First let him beat a few other top 10 fighters convincingly. Then we might START talking about this matchup.

Are you ****ing kidding me? Baldomir tougher than Cotto?
Baldomir is a journeyman at best.
He beat an unfocused and underprepared Judah and won the title and now hes tougther than Cotto?

No ****ing way! If he hadn't of beat the mental midget Judah, Baldo wouldn't be ****!
Baldo shouldn't even be in the top ten WW's. The only reason he's included is cause he beat Zab.

I'd say its low risk/ high reward for cotto - if he loses, its Floyd, llbs for llbs number one fighter, so no biggy there. And he makes shed load of cash.

For floyd i think any fight is high risk/high reward. Any fighter could in theory beat him and tarnish his reputation. But he makes a load of cash in the process.
