Ward is going to fight TWICE before June? I f**kin doubt it. Even if he did, the quality of opposition he would face would do nothing to prepare him for a top level fighter.

Well before talking Kovalev I just hope he can find someone halfway decent to fight, I'm not holding my hopes up or expecting anything until then.

 

Look, I'm not saying Kov is going to destroy Ward, all I'm saying is what you are saying... that Ward needs to fight someone legit before that and he has made ZERO attempts to do so. He had ONE warmup against a no hoper, and then he basically embarrassed himself with the shameful guys he tried unsuccessfully to fight and NSAC laughed them off.

These losers Ward is trying to fight makes him look like he is not even serious about fighting Kovalev.

 

The only way this happens in 2016 is if Ward skips one of his two demanded tune up fights. There is no way he fights three times in 2016, with the third fight being Kovalev.

This guy hasn't even fought twice in one year since 2011 (the end of the Super Six). Since then he fought once in 2012, once in 2013, ziltch in 2014, and once in 2015...and now he's going to successfully schedule and fight three times in 2016 at LHW with the third fight being Kovalev?

If someone can point me to a place to bet money on this not happening, please let me know.

 

That's his problem. If he isn't prepared then he will risk losing.

 

Yeah I get that, but I want to see Ward at his best and don't want to hear excuses if Ward happens to lose. Looks like a cash grab to me. Jay Z has already lost money on him and if he doesn't end up fighting Kov, Jay Z is going to look stupid.

 

I guess its a gamble Roc Nation was willing to take.
