    HBO has approved only 4 possible opponents for kelly's return fight on Oct. 4th. Winky wright, sergio martinez, felix sturm, and karoly balzsy.
    The reason for the hungarian as the best option is
    1. winky's stock has plummeted. he was never a draw or an entertaining
    fighter to watch, and williams near shut-out of wright has left him probably damaged goods, so there's no intrigue in that fight.
    2. sergio martinez is a good fighter, at 154. He's not cleaned out that class and isn't even the best at that weight.
    3. the sturm fight is unlikely to happen because HBO has indicated by ****
    $ that they really don't fancy the bout, and sturm is still banged up from the gevor fight.
    So that leaves the most intriguing and most rewarding legacy wise opponent for pavlik, and one who would definitely pose the most threat.
    WBO 168lb champ. karoly balszy.
    The bout would most definitely happen in the USA, and would also garner
    as big a purse as any of the other fights for sure. However, the accolades
    of a win over the hungarian would make pavlik a 2 division champ and prove his ability to fight and defeat a true supermiddle. Which would set the table for him to challenge the winner respectively of the super 6 tourney. I hope arum sees it that way and makes that fight in the fall.
    I'm 100% sure that universum would let balzsy come to america as this would be his biggest profile yet.
    It's also a fight i'd personally favor balszy to win, but that's another subject.

    There's no way in hell the Balzsay fight is happening - there's more chance of hell freezing over. Sturm is more likely - and that fight in itself is EXTREMELY unlikely.

    It'll most likely be Winky Wright. Not a fight I'm thrilled about, but Pavlik is left in a major predicament here.

    How do you know the balszy fight won't be made? And that the wright fight will? Did you ever think that this super 6 tourney would happen?
    The answer to the 3rd question from you should be "no"
    I'm sure universum will want this fight for balzsy. He hasn't been at all
    protected in his career, so why label as such?

    Incase you have been on another planet since Monday any fighter @168 worth his salt in the world is fighting in the super 6 !!!!!!!

    This is one of the most ridiculous threads ive seen in a long time !!!!! , if you are happy to see Pavlik pick off alphabet titles against paper champions then keep posting your shite on here , but the majority of us boxing fans who happen to know a thing or two about the sport like to see real champions fight the best fighters out there !!!!!!

    Hence the call for Pavlik Williams !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    It said that HBO has approved 4 opponents and then he named them. There was NO mention of Paul Williams at all......

    Martinez, Sturm, a faded Winky, and even Sergio Mora are ALL better options for Kelly's career than Karoly ****in Balzsay. Are you kidding me with this thread?

    Yup, more people know who Mora is than Balzsay.

    I know the popular thing to do here is bash Mora, but the guy does have the style that would give Kelly problems. Yeah he's got feather fists, but he's not an easy target to hit.. constant movement, fast hands. The same skills that got Forrest in trouble in the first fight.

    Balzsay only makes sense if Pavlik is moving up to 168 permanently.

    Sturm is the best fight available by far, they should push hard to make this fight.

    Martinez is Ok, Winky is Ok and I'd say that Mundine is not that bad also, considering the situation.

    Mora is the same fighter that got a gift decision vs Manfredo in the rematch in which Manfredo beat Mora to the punch in almost everyrounds. Mora got lucky Forrest was killing himself to make weight in which Forrest got warn out in the 2nd half of the fight. When Forrest was better prepare in the rematch, he easily beat Mora.

    Sturm is Pavlik's first choice if the fight can be made. I think it's the right fight. The day KP won the titles he said he wanted to unify the division. I always want athletes to fulfill their publicly stated goals.

    Balzsay is okay, and a win would position KP for a huge fight with Bute.

    Martinez is good on a developmental level. The best southpaw on KP's record is a faded McKart.

    Winky Wright and Kelly Pavlik have a long running feud going on, and I would like to see the score get settled.
