I really don't know why you're so obsessed with the Haye fight lol. Weren't you saying that Fury would fight Haye instead of Whyte? Fury is NEVER giving that gutless piece of filth a payday.

Wallin 2 would be the best prep for Usyk and would give Fury more resistance than the following names. Bakole is coming off a big win and is a credible opponent. Kabayel is 22-0 and beat Chisora, so more intrigue than Chisora 3. Rivas would be ok but Whyte outboxed him clearly (despite losing a few rounds plus the KD) and we just saw what Fury did to Whyte. Miller would be a fun buildup but could EASILY fail a drug test and leave Fury high and dry.

After the first Wilder fight, where Tyson was the puncher at the end, and in terms of skills, Wilder was found wanting. Wlad was going through a divorce.

Sanders wasn't as skilled as Wlad and Wilder wasn't as skilled as Ortiz, yet both won those fights. When you have range, speed, power, toughness, determination, unconventionality and experience, you can be a major threat even to those with far better skills.

Fury was coming off 14 rounds against two journeymen, 31 months of inactivity, 10 stone in weight loss, drug abuse and alcoholism. It was an extremely dangerous fight, insane to take it at that stage, and Fury was half a second away from it blowing up in his face.

Wlad's father was on his deathbed when Wlad produced one of his career best performances against Haye. Wlad was more motivated to beat Fury than any opponent since Haye. These are the vague, unprovable excuses people make when they want to diminish a win.

Like when Fury ducked Ustinov because his uncle would die a few months later.

    That's why I picked 'em.

Three have actually been mentioned as his potential next opponent. One was almost made, and all have been mentioned as opponents at one time or another. This is probably your reality for a next fight.

Ortiz actually nearly had him gone. Wlad never.

Insane on what level? Wilder was a hype job. Please stop talking like he's actually killed people in the ring with his power. Fury actually was the bigger puncher of the two, which, historically, is hilarious.

Haye never showed up. He was atrocious that night.

The point is that superior skills are not the be all and end all and that fighters with other attributes can be extremely dangerous. Even Puritty and Brewster (who were far inferior to Wilder as pointfighters) got to Wlad, despite taking a horrible beating first.

Insane on the level that Fury was dropped twice, almost KO'd (could have easily been waved off with a crooked referee) and didn't get the decision because he was in America and too many of the non-KD rounds were close.

Ali and Jimmy Young had far less power than Fury, yet by your standard they were the "punchers" against Foreman, dropping him without reply.

Haye was terrified of getting KO'd but he was very fast, evasive and leaped in with big bombs from time to time. Wlad had to be switched on for all 36 minutes to nullify and control Haye, who was a dynamite puncher.

I'd not pay to see any of them. Fury should focus purely on Usyk and Joshua then retire.
