Jermaine Taylor is not a warrior by choice or cloth.
He just does not have great ring smarts. His incredible athleticism hid this pretty well.

well when i think of warrior i think of someone whose never ducked anyone. you can't deny taylor of this. some will say he ducked the second winky wright fight but wright thinks he's worth more than he actually is and priced himself out.

Switching Andrade out and putting in Ouma.

I am actually in total agreement with you on this one. I was going to say Jermain Taylor, but I thought he retired. If you watch his last fight with Abraham, you see he was working the whole time, while AA landed maybe 2 shots a round avg. or something ridiculously low. Taylor was just working like a dog till the end, because he knew those judges in Germany? would have taken the W from him.

Mad respect for Taylor. I wonder if Taylor was forced to take fights at 168, or he just outgrew 160... :think

Is this a thread about guys who get punched in the face because they dont have the skills or intelligence to get out of the way?

Nope. The Marquez Bros., Mosley, Morales, Bradley, Mares, etc. Are skilled, they just so happen to have a warriors mentality as well. I would even throw in Ward and Canelo too, but Ward for awhile might not need to really dig down and show bit heart, and Canelo is too green. Too soon to put him on here.

And if this thread wasn't just from the last 10 years, but of all time you can even throw in Ali, SRL, Arguello, etc. Who had skills as well, but when they really got pushed they could dig down and show heart, determination and that warrior mentality to win a fight.

    .... Or....

its a thread honoring guys who almost always are willing to go to hell and back to win a fight, or usually refuse to give in mentally when up against extreme adversity, and when in the type of fights that reveal character, show themselves to be true warriors.

    What a dumbass question.
