Of the last 40 years, does anyone besides LL have a chance to beat Vitaly?

It didn't need plastic surgery to heal. All I am saying is that if the cut would have gotten worse, it would still have been a skin injury and that is not dangerous. His eye was fine, no detached retina or any other eye injury. Even if he would have needed plastic surgery, so what? Less harmfull than losing a gazillion brain cells for long - term health.

AND: Cuts are not necessarily showing who the superior fighter was. Glancing blows can cause cuts, but they can't knock someone out.

It's just such a dilemma. Who to believe? The qualified doctor who inspected the injury and believed that to continue would risk permanent injury or the internet random who didn't inspect the injury and says his 'eye was fine' :huh

Sure, always believe the qualified people in a boxing match, the judges, the ref, the doctor...they are all qualified for their job and NOTHIG about their decisions is ever questionable in boxing.

May I point out that nobody "examined" Vitali's eye? The doctor too a random look, asked Vitali a question which he didn't hear because he was talking to his corner, the doctor concluded that Vitali couldn't conitnue and that was it. Real exams afterwards in hospital showed that the eye was fine. It was a skin injury.

while I dont think Vitali would have beat EVERY guy in the 40 years, I will say he would give anyone trouble with the style he has

I think Ali would beat Vitali. The young Tyson, Holyfield maybe.

Larry Holmes would beat Vitali because of Holmes wonderful Jab.

    Maybe Ray Mercer, Riddick Bowe.

I think Frazier is too small.

George Foreman maybe had a chance. Great punching power.

Frazier's size/low centre of gravity was his strength, not his weakness. His whole style was based around keeping low, the lunging left hook and relentless body game, it made fools of many. And Vitaly, while being technical and skillful, has a typically flat-footed eastern Euro style. He would have been a sitting duck to a lot of Frazier's assaults...

Let vit move around in slow motion with his hands down on Ali. straight rights all night. But anyway why talk about Ali when Lennox beat him. and Lmao at Sanders working Both of them and even KO 1 of them. dude played golf for 8 years

This guy compared Vit against the Aces, man damn.

Did Toney Kukoc stand a chance against Jordan?

Aces man These guys could do what ever they wanted to any fighter. They even did what they wanted to eachother in the ring. they were = it always just came down who jogged that extra mile in training. or who trainer came with a better game plan

not beating down bums in the worse division in boxing. Vit is Toney Kukoc in a Leauge full of Greg Kites

lol I didnt see a Glancing Blow, I saw somebody Skin Bust open from a heavy shot. Also Lennox gets a second wind when he sees his art work and tear his eye lid off. Lennox needed a second wind as he Accomplished all he needed to in his career. Vit aint no motain to climb lol@ loss to byrd.
Lennox didnt do no Training and went out for drinks the night before.

Vit wasnt doing nothing during the Hollyfield Foreman Bowe and Lennox era and then had the nerve to get beat by the old out of shape overweight but proven to be great Lewis
