Of the last 40 years, does anyone besides LL have a chance to beat Vitaly?

i'm a black guy and i think if Vitaly was black he will get more credit. There is no denying that he 's the best white Hw ever and belongs in the top 10 ATG hw. I used to think it was just an american thing but it's more than that. Haye is embraced by a lot of americans even though he isn't american. Even Sam Peters was embraced at some point by the american fans. Again I'm black.

Did you forget his embarassing, humiliating abuse in the hands of Andrew Golota?

    Bowe? LOL

Bowe who at the age of 28, right in his prime, got beat up by a Polish night club bouncer. TWICE!

I'm not as big of a boxing expert as some of you pretend to be, but I've a good sense of logic and I have to say, some of you are arguing like ******s.
Yes, we all know Vitaly lost against Byrd and Lewis. However, for the purposes of this conversation, the way those fights were going is more relevant than the result.
The fact that Vitaly was leading on the scorecards is more relevant here than the fact that he got cut. Unless you can guarantee that Vitaly would get a cut on his eyelid or a dislocated shoulder in your hypothetical matches, then bringing up the manner of those losses is completely useless.
You guys are arguing: Frazier would do this, Tyson would do that. Truth is, Vitaly lost very few rounds and you can't guarantee that those strategies would succeed. If it was that easy, Lewis would have lead on the scorecards.
    Seriously:
Tyson would knock him out, because he had a nasty cut once.
Frazier would knock his teeth out, because his eyelid was hanging low.
Holmes would jab him to death, because his shoulder popped out against Byrd.
Foreman would bitchslap him, because he's got a mole on his back.
    ...
Is that what passes for intelligent debate around here?

    Tyson
    Hollifield
    Louis
    Lewis
    Marciano

Any of these heavyweights in their prime would beat Vitali

    Ali
    Fraizer
    Foreman
    Holyfield
    Tyson
    Ruddock (Yeah I said it)
    Bowe
    Holmes

Vitali would blow away WITH ULTRA EASE:

    Frazier, Bowe, Holyfield.

These three made for entertaining fights with their US toe-to-toe battle style. It looks good. But it's terrible boxing if you have other options, especially for a taller guy like Bowe. Vitali would make them look like amateurs and bombard them with bombs from the outside as they stumble after him.

Holy in his day would beat the **** out of Vitali just watch how much he a near 38 yr old gave a peak LL while Vitali got his ass kicked by an inactive out of shape 38 yr old lewis. vitali is very overrated.

    Are you kidding?

If Cornelius Johannes Sanders had eaten two fewer bags of donuts he would have knocked Vitali the **** OUT and he was past 38 years old.

Dozens upon dozens of heavyweights had enough to handle clumsy Vitali on a given night. Vitali is taller and his size means he had the potential to trouble most fighters in a fantasy matchup. BUT, he could have also been sparked by an enormous number because he is clumsy and not exceptionally talented.

Just watch the first round of the Sanders fight and note him doing an exact imitation of Wlad (flailing, falling, panicking, etc.).

You've watched him fight so many bums in today's heavyweight division you apparently have no idea that there are talented athletes on the planet.

They existed before and they exist today. Unfortunately, few are boxing (none are heavyweights). Vitali is decent with great size - but his limitations are obvious.

    Hilarious trolling :rofl:rofl:rofl

VITLAY is a better HW than Marciano, Tunney, Dempsey, right?

I know you have to be joking. VITLAY isn't even the best in his own era, and those others were.

    Lewis TKO6, Byrd TKO10.

I really can't believe that a champ with as limited a skillset as Klitschko gets these kind of fanboys. Is he the best around now? Yes, but that's not saying much. Is he the best of the last 40 years? You must be stone ******ed to even entertain that notion for more than a second.

I am ****ing sick of years and years of posts that say "But Vitlay was leading on the score cards, it was a glancing blow, he lost by injury".

The score cards are ****ing irrelevant. Especially if you can't get past the HALF WAY MARK of the fight.

Does it matter Lewis was beating McCall on the cards? (that was a TKO too, not a KO)

Do the score cards for Lewis v Bruno matter a **** now? Of course not, Lewis stopped him, fight over.

What were the scorecards in Lewis v Rahman 1? Point is who cares, Rahman KTFO Lewis. You tear the scorecards up when that happens.

That fight showed Vitlay could be up by one swing round at the half way mark, but he had to get his face torn off to get there. Steward has said several times after the first 2 rounds he told Lewis to forgot boxing, and just hit Vitlay as hard as possible with every punch. FOUR rounds later, and the fights over. That's pretty conclusive in my eyes.

As for a glancing blow? Maybe by a bus.

Lennox must have a big fist if those cuts to the eye, cheeks and lips were caused by a 'glancing blow'.

That isn't even a knock on Vitlay, who fought well in an ok fight (but made some mistakes - it was obvious that fight wasn't going the distance due to the cut, so he HAD to stop Lewis to win. He couldn't. Kind of puts in doubt the 'Vitlay is a big puncher' theory TBH).

It's more of a dig at the loonies who think being 4-2 up after 6, but being TKO'd, somehow means the fight is a draw, or ends up with Vitlay "winning the event"
