Of The New School, Danny Garcia Has The Best Resume By Far.

    I'd put T.Bradley(Pacquiao, Marquez, Alexander, Abregu, Peterson, Holt, Cambell, Witter, Vazquez)
    A.Ward(Dawson, Froch, Abraham, Bika, Kessler, Miranda, Green)
    D.Alexander(Maidana, Bailey, Matthysse, Kotelnik, Urango, Witter) ahead.
    M.Garcia(Burgos, Martinez, Juanma, Salido, Barros, Guzman)
    Canelo(Lara, Angulo, Trout, Lopez, Rhodes, Mosley, Vazquez) aswell
    are probably top 5 out of the newer generation
    Guys like Danny, Khan Porter, Maidana ect .. are all tossups for next best resume.

    Bradley's resume shits on Garcia's...

    And Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Maidana's resume **** on Garcia's as well? Maybe I'm reaching with that one, but still, I can't imagine Garcia's is that much better if at all...

    And IDK if you count Andre Ward, but he's the rightful #2 p4p fighter for a reason

    Garcia does have a quality resume.

    Best by far? Nah. Still a good one, though.

    Wards the same age as Bradley and started fighting the same year there both apart of this era.

    You're joking, right? NEVER point to Roidquez's age as a factor again. He's punching harder than ever before, has as much stamina as ever before, and only lost a smidge of speed. He looked devastating against Pacquiao and Alvarado.

    Roidquez would spark out anyone but Floyd (styles) or Rios (insane ability to take punishment). He could have gotten Alvarado out of there, but chose not to go all out (and Mike also chose not to go all out because he tasted Roid's power).

    He's got the unnatural fountain of youth.

    I'm saying if you count a 32 year old, then surely 30 y/o Bradley counts and his resume is WAY better than Garcia's. Danny is decent though.

    The Zab ,Lucas fights were close ,not runaway decision like people think and he was giving a gift against Herrera. Yeah they needed this KO against a LW.

    Pac lost much more clearly than Danny? I wouldn't say so. Did Marquez land more and throw more on Pac than Herrera did to Danny? Nope. Pac outlanded him in 9 rounds. I'd say both decisions are pretty bad though.

    Exactly how much higher do you rate Pac than Danny? Cuz Rios is 3 years younger than Salka, and he actually has won against legit good opponents, not to mention he at least has power....Salka has NOTHING. He wasn't even club level fighter man.

    Morales lol he was so shot it was sad to watch, Judah again shot as hell, Lost to Herrera. His only good wins are Khan and Matthysse. Bradley on the other hand, JMM, Provodnikov, Alexander, Abregu, Peterson, Vazquez.

    Can people stop quoting Pacquiao as a win for Bradley, it wasn't it was a robbery it doesn't count.

    A world champion shouldnt need a fight like this for a 'confidence' fight. You think Danny needed to KO a 130lber to get his confidence back?

    Confidence fights are against capable contenders that might not be the boogiemen of the division or top 5 guys, but dudes in your division or the division below that have a sliver of credability, you go in there and do your thing and feel good.

    KO'ing a guy in two rounds who isnt even a player in his own division, which happens to be two division beneath yours, for a 'confidence' fight? ****ing absurd.

    You would have to be the most mentally fragile guy around for this to effect your confidence. And danny is not mentally fragile, so this wasnt **** to him, damn sure wasnt a confidence booster.




    Danny is the next great? To each their own but Id bet large sums of money that he wont even be a king at 147... let alone a future great. Dannys time is almost up.

    Hes a good, solid all around fighter who I hope has a lot of good years left in him. But future great? I dont even know how or why someone would even bring that label out at this point, especially not for someone like Danny, who for as good as he is, is a pretty basic fighter that relies on a few key elements that wont serve him as faithfully for too much longer (chin, size, power) (of course he has a lot else to his game, but those are his three biggest attributes)

    His train stops at 147, where he will win some lose some and become your basic top tier fighter. I would pick Porter and Thurman over him when he gets there, let alone May, Pac and Bradley.


    See, this right here makes me think that you are like a few others Ive seen trying to make these comparisons.

    Heres something, next time someone tries to compare a recent fight to this one? Stop... because the fight you are trying to compare it to, doesnt even compare. Thats just it.

    Pac got **** for fighting Rios.... but guess what.... he was coming off a KO loss and was fighting a top 10 opponent.

    GGG gets **** for fighting 154'lbers.... but guess what... Rosado was a top 10 154lber and was even in line for a title shot at the time.

    Thats not even getting into the fact that EVERYBODY in dannys division would jump at a chance to fight him. Herrara 2, Matthysse 2, Peterson, all these fights were EASILY made in a heartbeat if they wanted to. To think thats the same as Golovkin trying to find a fight with the top guys of his weightclass, again, shows lack of understanding the situation.

    To compare two well known, top 10 fighters like Rios and Rosado, to Dannys opponent, to me just shows that someone doesnt understand the situation fully. They are non comparable.... period.

    Any time boxing fans are vocal about bull**** going down in the sport, its a good thing. In fact, it doesnt happen ENOUGH in this sport.

    Too many fans are attached to fighters and willing to look the other way, or even worse, defend it (like this thread) when it happens....

    If Danny wanted a soft touch, they could have doubled the quality of opponent he had and the fans would probably have cut him some slack, because indeed its true, this guy has fought everyone.

    But he scrapped the absolute bottom of the barrel.... and its nice that the boxing community is actually letting their voice be heard on it.
