voted for froch, has taken on some murderous punchers in his time and stood up to those shots. sure he has been down before but considering he is a lot more hittable then some of the other guys on the list id say def wins the vote seeing as we are voting on the best chin not defense

Honorable mention to bradley who has taken flush shots from vicious punchers like pac and provodnikov

Without his chin he'd never have made it to world level!

    1. Froch isn't on any credible p4p list

    2. In a real list, it's Mayweather and it's not close.

Froch was doing a CHICKENDANCE after Groves knocked him out with 1 punch

Mayweather has never done down in 18 years of boxing.

Mayweather clearly isn't packing china in his mandible.

However it's rarely tested in fights, nor will it be against Argentine cab driver Maidana, so I can not safely say it's better than that of fellow pound for pound fighters Carl The Cobra Froch and The Special One Kell Brook.

This was my post from the thread asking this of who among the top 10 P4P has the worst chin...

    ----

Using The Ring's Top 10 P4P, here are my rankings of their chins:
    1. Mayweather
    2. Alvarez
    3. Ward
    4. Wladimir
    5. Froch
    6. Marquez
    7. Pacquiao
    8. Bradley
    9. Rigondeaux
    10. Sergio

Edit: I feel 6-10 are arguable and interchangeable and 2-5 are highly debatable.

Honestly, they surprisingly all have bad chins 2-down! Compared to what I'd expect. Sergio goes down almost every fight. Rigo has been down multiple times including the last fight. Bradley goes down, multiple times against Ruslan. Pacquiao just got dropped twice and the only one to go out cold recently on this list; obviously this is not a career achievement of chins list, but taking the recent into high regard Pac is not in a good place. Marquez still does get dropped frequently enough including against Pac in their fourth fight. Froch was known for the iron before Groves put him down hard. Wladimir hasn't been shaken in the slightest in what, 6 years? Ward seldom ever gets hit and while I don't think he might have the best chin from what we've seen he can't be much lower than where I put him. Alvarez has been punched in the face and while not by the best punchers he has only been hurt what, once? Mayweather is the only one made of iron and holding in current form as he has only been hurt in one round pretty much his whole career and now that was 4 years ago while only going down once officially against C. Hernandez and once unofficially against Zab.

You can't honestly believe Froch has a worse chin pound for pound than Vlad?

If Wlad was fighting people either the same size as him or the ones that was wasn't no hopers I'm sure he'd be quite familiar with ***** St

    The Pub? :rofl:lol:

So, the rating comes from a gaggle of drunken Englishmen. :rofl

LOL! Since Deontay Wilder has fought the same caliber of opponents and knocked them all out, perhaps The Pub should place him on the p4p list too. :yep

    I'm just saying.

If Brook can make the p4p list based on fighting no one, then so can Wilder. Have another 8 beers and get in the same frame of mind as The Pub, and it may make sense. :yep
