I think he could be hatton at this point.....hatton is past his best as well...prime hatton sparks this guy out in about 8-9

at 140 i still think hatton wins

  6. Juan Diaz needs to get in shape and fight at 122. The kid looks chubby even at 135.

If he was wobbled by a Malignaggi punch at 138.5, he would likely be KOed by every single person on this list, save maybe Nate Campbell, who hasn't really looked good for 3 or 4 years now.

none is the answer, he's not a junior welter and he knows it, he's moving back down to lightweight I hear....superfeather would be good for him as well, would force him to keep in shape

Diaz was a solid lightweight champion. He's just not a LWW. But it seems like that's not your point anyway...

I voted for all. Nothing against Juan Diaz. I just think that he is better off at 135 than he is at 140.

juan was a good scrapper at 135. he wasn't a puncher then he isn't one now, but the only thing he had for him was was his relentless high volume pressure and he didn't show that vs. paulie. sure paulie has his jab and an occasional uppercut, hook, or right hand, but juan instead opted to try to outbox paulie which juan is not good at and at a disadvantage vs the taller, faster, and possibly stronger paulie.

juans corner kept telling juan to work off his jab which failed and wasn't until the 12th round he went back to his old ways putting pressure and catching paulie constantly but it was too late. i don't think juan beats any of the top guys at 140lbs. his best chances might be a shell of hatton, but if you don't have the power to hurt hatton he's gonna walk diaz down. i'm sure hatton has to still have some of that power left as crude as he is. i think a hatton vs. malignaggi rematch would be more interesting to see if paulie really is a better fighter and also see if hatton really is finished or has something in the tank. hatton's on the downslide supposedly and paulie's on the up so hopefully it should even out and won't be a shutout like that first fight and might provide malignaggie some redemption.
