How many instances can you recall where you saw a very powerful puncher, life his opponent off the ground with a punch? I can recall Foreman vs Frazier Dempsey vs. Sharkey Jack Johnson vs. Tommy Burns Do you guys ave any more? Any major ones im missing?
Might be slightly different but Rosario's power knocks JL Ramirez off his feet, rather than actually hurting Ramirez, the force of Rosario's shots just push him off his feet.
i don't know if this counts but corrales was turned by Castillo in their 2nd fight. wasn't an uppercut so it didnt lift him. Was a hook so his body kind of did a side flip.
Tony Tucker lifted Tyson off the ground with a huge uppercut. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMtvSlMrkGY[/ame] Skip to 0:55.
Indeed, that was a beautiful left hook. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSLsTKuY8GM[/ame] Skip to 2:30.
Advance the following footage to 7:49. At 7:52, the narrator says, "It's bad for Willard, taking the hammer blows of the ring's greatest puncher..." Right at the moment he says "greatest," Dempsey buries a left inside hook into Willard's right side that hops Jess several inches off the ground as he retreats towards his corner. It's hard to see, but can still be discerned that the bottom of Willard's right trunk leg is level with the bottom rope, then in the next instant is lifted a third of the way up towards the second rope, then back down to the level of the bottom rope again. (This is much clearer on correct live speed movie film than it is on videotape transferred to youtube.) [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3BTycNuY44[/ame]
